Only a few blocks away for the touristy Pragues. Two floors. Only the groundfloor is opened in quiet hours with its 40 sitting places or so. The basement is really something to see with the brewing equipment in plain view and its almost-authentic cavernous feeling. Check it out. Nice furniture upstairs and downstairs, this place is almost classy yet feel like a neighbourhood pub. They place hadn’t start brewing their own beers when I was there but that was a few months ago and they’re probably brewing now since they were almost ready when I was there. When I was there they had two taps and a blend upstairs including the Rohozec Skalák Tmavé 13°, this beer may not be much in bottle but on tap it was glorious. More tap downstairs. I went there 3 times at different time of the day during my stay in Prague. Always pleasant.

Modern, but typical czech Hospoda with one house beer. Quite expensive by czech standards, quite cheap by Prague standards. Not a must in Praha, but still worth a visit! Friendly and helpful service..........

A bit out of the way of central Prague, but well worth a visit. Had their only house beer on tap as well as another tmavé. Had a listing of bottled beers, but none in the fridge (which was a little weird). Cool decor, with exceptionally heavy chairs, cool figurines lining both walls and bar. We had a soup and a salat - both of which were excellent. Recommended - more for the place and food than for the beer.

Only visited the upstairs pub, didn’t eat. Menus were in Czech and Russian, not often I’ve seen that. Tried the house beers which were OK. Nice prices for being so close to the tourist walks and the Charles bridge.

Hotel restaurant/bar, but actually a pretty cosy place that looked more local than tourist oriented. And they have the heaviest chairs I have ever tried to lift, so that’s one unique aspect! First day I was there, they had run out of their own beer, but I had it the next day. Nothing special, but it’s a rating and a good place for an afternoon break in central Prague.

Again, this brewery is about to come on line the first week in June 2008. Not hard to find at all. Sat at the main floor bar and had some Rohozec on draft. Speedy service with flirty barmaids. The menu is pretty nice and nott too over the top in price for Prague City. A great local pub not overrun by tourists.

This stylish new brewpub wasn’t brewing yet when we passed by, but their brewing equipment was ready to go and the menu’s had been changed to reflect one of the new beers to come. For now, they had 2 wonderful Rohozec beers on tap and 4 of them in bottles. The basement room is stunning with its stone arches and heavy wooden furniture. There were 5 more taps in this basement, which for now served beers from Zlatopramen and Breznak. As you read this, one or a few of their house beers might be on...
