Not a bad place to go for a decent brew. I don’t find the beer to be outstanding or the service that great (college town). However, their menu food is normally pretty decent and their rotating selections are worth seeking out. The reserved buffet food that was setup for a group (business) was only fair on two separate occassions... stick with the regular menu.

Nice little patio in an active part of town on Main St. Big square bar, but the place feels a bit stale and commercial over all. The info on the beers being brewed by the brew house was cool though. 1 cask offering when I was there. Food was good with some interesting options.

I was here on a nice spring Saturday afternoon & enjoyed this place quite a bit. Had outside seating for "people watching" in a bustling little college town: modern simplistic looking wood interior w/a glass wall into the Brewery. Sat at the bar & had a samlper; they give you a sample of everything on tap. Had 9 beers for $6 bucks, including 2 versions of their Porter (Cask & Tap). Some good brews, some misses. Friendly, knowledgeable bar staff who could actually talk @ their beer & answer questions. Food was very good, had an excellent Smoked Chicken Quesadilla. Was told they fill up in the evening on weekends when school is in session, so I’d avoid it then. Parking was an issue. I’d recommend it, would like to go back for one of their beer dinners or events where you get a chance to meet w/the brewers. I’ll have to try & get to one of their other locations.

Standard Iron Hill look & feel, but no cask beer that day. Service was prompt and friendly with everything you could expect from Iron Hill. I still prefer the PA locations, but you won’t go wrong stopping here if you’re in DE.

Nice atmosphere but a little small. Not a place to go if you want to be around a lot of college students. Other than that, this place is great...good beer and food.

Used to sit out on the porch here when it was warm - one of the good spots on Main Street for watching parades. Was borderline out of my price range during those great undergrad days, so a visit to Iron Hill was always "special." Good range of beer, very good food. Often crowded with yuppies. Love how they reward 5K winners.

As with most brewpubs, I like this place, but my complaint is about the beer. Unless you go on one of the special nights and get a pitcher, the beer here is really overpriced--it’s not really all that great, certainly not good enough to justify $4 a glass or $5 for some of the seasonals. The food here, pricey, but good. There are some excellent lunch specials or other specials though which make this place more affordable. I love the outdoor seating, love the location (totally walkable from anywhere in Newark). Bottom line though: this beer is nothing special. Although I’ve had worse from American microbreweries, but I’ve also had a lot better.

Was here for college, great for wed and sat nights!! But if you dont like a bunch of new people to meet come on another night and it will be easy going. Nice selection of brews. Very Nice owner. Come here in summer for Newark Brewfest, this place will have atleast 4 reserve beers and 4 guest beers, and a free tour of brewing facility by owner!!! RECOMMEND BELGIAN TRIPLE!!!
