A true Danglish pub (DANish + enGLISH). Cosy i suppose, propably best for a after work beer on a weekday afternoon when it’s less crowded..
Friendly Crowd, decent and changing selection of english Ale’s and Ciders and varying Danish Micros-
Crowded and used to be very Smokey, But perhaps i’m getting Old, since this annoys me.
Let’s see how the new non smoking policy works in the winter!!

Wonderfull place, hidden away from Strøget, the main walking street in the capital, just opposite the old Berlingske Tidende newspaper building, next to Cafe Ketchup - retro decor with a real, old english pub atmosphere and ambience - the policy is no tv (apart from very special, big sporting events), and no music, and finially NON-SMOKING !
This was a decision made by staff and management as Charlie’s is legally allowed to be a smoking pub, but when the clientele began to change dramatically, it became, for a short period just a smoking bar and the requests for Carlsberg and Tuborg increased dramatically.
New non-smoking policy since 01 April 2008, and already a big success. Friendly, informative staff. The staff are certainly characters and the place is managed by a jolly decent chap, Martin (Me! lol). Andy the technical maestro is extremely knowledgeable and can answer any questions you might have connected to the technical operations of the pub.
It is the sister pub to the Wharf in Aalborg, Charlies Pubs are owned by Iain Russell and he has certainly done a good job at establishing the importance of real ale pubs here in Denmark.

Very small but great English pub
Needs to be non-smoking
Real ales. Good selection from British and smaller Danish breweries - but does not dare to include new micros

A classical English pub. Rather crowded and sadly there is still smoking allowed. Okay service, rather fast, but probably more talkative with the regular crowd. I much prefer the sister-pub in Aalborg. Beers are okay, rather rare (self-imported), but sometimes they are a little dull.

Great place if you like to drink english real ale. They had about 4-6 ales on cask and also some other beers on tap. A small pub with an authentic feeling to it. Cozy interior and friendly atmosphere. The bad thing is that it easy gets crowded and very smoky. So the best time for a visit is probably in the early afternoon. I will definitely visit Charlie´s again the next time I´m in Copenhagen.

Visited a summers day. There was enought places. The beers were a few ones not tasted before, but most beers were not that rare. Service could be better. Rather rustic, nice try to make an authentic English pub.

Little pub with a selection of cirka 25 beers. 6-8 cask handpumps. I had hook norton & Marstons oyster stout. Kind of cosey atmosphere. The waitor however looked at me and thought to himself: " What is that hiphoppin dude doing here" Defenetly not in the mood for a chat! But like I said OK atmosphere and OK pub though the selection is quite unintersting! Westmalle, hancock, Maisels weisse!!!!
