| Skinnyviking (113), Copenhagen, Denmark | | November 6, 2011 About 140 bottled beers on the shelves, some of which in fridges. Madjority of the beer is Danish but they do have a nice selection from other countries as well. You will also find a few glasses. Do not expect to find really rare beers or that the staff will know a lot about beer. Nice location as it is easy to find. The shop is combined with a kiosk where you can buy a good deal of other stuff. | | Boudicca (110), London, England | | July 9, 2011 [ Updated August 2, 2011 ] This shop has a nice, old fashioned, well-worn frontage in a prime location at the end of Gammel Strand, on the corner of Nabolos. There are two small rooms with a storeroom at the back. It sells mainly beer but also has a stand of postcards outside, where the shopkeeper can sometimes be seen sitting on a chair sunning himself.
There’s a reasonable selection of beers (but not as good as that in Barley Wine, which is close by), including Jacobsen and some more “populist” brands such as South American and Spanish lagers of the Sol and Coronas varieties – the rubbish unenlightened teenagers used to drink with a piece of lime stuck in the top of the bottle before the advent of alcopops. Some are clearly priced and some are not.
I felt a little uncomfortable when I went in as the aforementioned shopkeeper followed me around quite conspicuously until I stepped backwards into the table and crates in the middle of the room to get a better look at something on a high shelf and scared him off. Funny, I’d have stayed around if I knew someone as clumsy as me was blundering around my shop. I mentioned this incident to Patrik later and he told me he’d had a similar experience (being followed, not almost knocking over the display).
Feeling self conscious and wanting to prove that I was there to shop, not to shoplift, I bought a bottle of Midtfyns stout for DKK60 and was rather miffed subsequently when I saw it in Magasin for DKK45.

| | vonsolms (11), Måløv, Denmark | | July 21, 2010 A dusty musty place with a decent selection and good location. For a long time one of only 2 (with barleywine round the corner) decent beer stores in the city. | | kschep (37), , Denmark | | June 10, 2010 not far from the closet that is barley wine this slightly larger shop has mainly danish brews (last time I was there a couple brewdogs were visible, too), but it’s a nice shop and there’s always new stuff on the shelves | | HenrikSoegaard (125), Randers, Denmark | | June 8, 2010 NIce beershop wonderfull placed. Large sellection of danish micros. Some rare americans too. They also have beers from many countries. | | Pinball (54), Copenhagen, Denmark | | February 24, 2010 Wrong entry.. Please delete! | | mullet (226), Melbourne, Australia | | December 30, 2009 Not world-beating, but worth a look. I went there because Ølbutikken and Barley Wine were both shut at the time, and it suited my needs perfectly. Surprisingly good range of US beers, not huge on Danish stuff unfortunately but I only wanted a couple of bottles and they had Beer Here stuff so I was very happy. Handily central too. | | rosenbergh (243), Helsinki, Finland | | December 24, 2009 Central location, near the Barley Wine store. OK selection, nothing spectacular. Lots of local beers in fridge. | | Todeon (12), , Sweden | | January 23, 2009 Pretty decent selection! 99danish för boris the crusher was a bit to much yes? Nice location pretty central but dro in at barley wine insted its like 50 meters from this store! | | KnutAlbert (207), Oslo, Norway | | September 18, 2008 There are better beer shops in town, but this has a fine location, and there should be something of interest here. A wide range of imports, not so big on Danish micros. A fair few excotic lagers, but very decent Belgian and North American beers, too. A sign said they have Westvleteren in the cellar. |
