We (me & Loz) visited here Saturday 5th May 2012, this was my first visit here since this place only opened six weeks ago and I have to say that I was very impressed with this bar. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable especially the girl behind the bar who had worked at this pub under its previous two guises. The beer selection was predictably top notch with Magic Rock High Wire, Thornbridge Mechelen, a couple from Evil Twin amongst the offerings. It was busy when we were there between 1pm-2pm and the food that was being served looked great. I liked the decor, apparently it had brightened the place up considerably, I liked the location and I really liked the bar, excellent addition to Brighton.

Was looking forward to visiting this new place when i heard it opened. Big fan of Brighton and the Evening Star. This place is absolutely amazing. As good a line of up beers as I have ever seen in a bar, in the UK or Europe. The 8 cask ales were in peak condition and included Fyne, Thornbridge, Marble, Dark Star and Thornbridge. The keg range was awesome and included Mikkeller, Evil Twin, Sly Fox, Weyerbacher, Kissermeyer, Grassroots. The Fridges are full of around one hundred different beers. Spectacular selection. Food worth a mention too, very very good. Had a great day checking out Brighton, seeing some old Friends and checking out this amazing new place.

The newly opened outpost of CASK pub in Kitchen in Brighton. This place is smaller and more charming than its sister pub. Modern interior - I especially like the copper tables. There is also a small patio area, which has a roof and heaters if required. They have 7 casks on offer from the likes of Fyne, Thornbridge, Revolutions and Marble. There are 18 Keg lines that include Mikkeller, Weyerbacher, Sly Fox and Southern Tier, amongst others. Bottle list totals to about 70, with lots interesting options from Mikkeller, Shorts, Clown Shoes, Drakes, Bear Republic, Kernel...... Of course not as extensive as the Pimlico one, but well thought out and better value I thought. All bottles available for take-out. They have many one-offs and UK exclusives available. We had brunch, which was delicious and decent value. Very well managed and put together. I’m also glad this place has its own identity and is not a direct duplicate of the original. A brilliant place to enjoy great beer.
