I would say a must stop if in the Queenstown area. Great food, decent enough beer and friendly staff. Really enjoyed my time here.

Was not allowed to go to Queenstown, since it is too turistic, so we settled in Arrowtown for the night - cute little laid back old mining town. Had the opportunity to start the night at Arrow Brewing co. and lucky to sample 9 of their own beer plus a cider. Got real good service with 4 oz samples of their beer, easy to get new samples even though it was a busy and loud Saturday early night. It was kind of split in two parts - a lounge like bar section, with soft couches and low tables, and a more pub like eating section with wooden talbes and chairs and raw stone walls. If you find yourself anywhere near - then you have to go!

Managed to sneak in an unplanned short visit. Was dead quiet when we ordered our first drink, were a few more punters when we left. They’ve done a good job giving the place character, despite a very unfortunate position hidden away behind the main drag (and there’s isn’t much to Arrowtown as it is). I need to go back and give it a decent go.

Tucked away in a plaza off one of the historic streets in Arrowtown, Arrow Brewing is worth a visit if you have some time to get over from Queenstown (Arrowtown is a historic gold mining town about 15-20 minutes away from Queenstown). The brewpub is very new, clean, and modern, with a big wood bar and metal/wood paneling, leather sofas and chairs everywhere, some pub and dining tables, a patio with a few tables, a fireplace, and a dartboard. There were 8 taps (9 if you include 1 that was in the back) with 1 guest spot, as well as 6 guest bottles. The Arrow beers are all very good and the staff takes a lot of pride in the place and their brews. The bartender even brought by an "out-of-beer experience" that the brewmaster will whip up with leftovers from a given batch. Ours tasted somewhere between a white wine and a cider, and showed his appreciation for us tasting a little of everything there. He even enlisted our opinions when a guy came in and couldn’t decide on something. We didn’t eat but the people there were raving about the food, which appeared to be upscale pub fare. This is probably the most geographically isolated brewpub I’ve ever been to, but it’s worth the side-trip for beers you can’t find anywhere else (they don’t bottle) and a staff that loves what they do.

Wandered in here with my wife and kids and couldn’t help but stay for lunch. It was brisk outside, but very cozy in here with a huge fire and comfy red leather couches to curl up on. The decor is very modern, comfortable, and well done. The service is top notch-- personal, attentive, and very proud of their beer. The food is fantastic and an excellent value in my opinion. The burger is the best burger I’ve had in NZ (and I’ve had some tasty burgers man), my wife’s salmon tarts were downright addictive, and the kids loved there steak pie. There are several compelling reasons to make the trek from Queenstown to this wonderful new brewpub (aside form the fact that Arrowtown itself is simply more charming and historically interesting): if you are a craft beer seeker, then this place beats Dux de Lux hands down. If you are a family looking for quality food at good prices in a comfortable atmosphere that is welcoming to kids, then this fits the bill perfectly. They’ve only been open for a few months, but they are doing everything right so far! I wish them every success.

This place ticked all my boxes. We found it on a Sunday brunch amble through Arrowtown much to my surprise and delight. She who must be obey usually rolls her eyes and takes me to task about my love of breweries, but on this occasion she was furnished with a wine that she enjoyed (not easy considering she is a wine rep and extremely fussy) and a seat on the couch by the fire to peruse the newspaper. We were welcomed and made comfortable. Conversation was inevitable as the staff and owners share my enthusiasm for microbreweries, or in this case, I shared in their enthusiasm, which showed. This brewpub has been done well and is conducive to enjoyment. It has to be said that our trip to Queenstown had been a disappointment up until this point with a string of rubbish experiences. This place is well worth diverting for and the menu is comforting pub fare at reasonable prices. Considering the prices you can pay for mediocre down the road... Grand.

On-site brewery and cafe established late last year. There is 8 house brews available along with pretty simple food. I had a look around the busy brewing set-up out back (it was brew day when I visited). The interior of the cafe is a warm atmosphere with a fire place and leather lounges.
