| Tim Webb (96), Cambridge, England | | February 28, 2010 The place I did not get to on my Argentine trip - so why rate it? Well, because it is still going strong and might be the best beer place in BA, if only because it brews its own beers, stocks beers from other Argentine micros and has a pretty good range of imports for a country with very little imported beer generally. Snacks big and small. OK, I made up the ratings but I don’t want it statistically marked down by by non-presence. | | SlothFroth (13), Katy, Texas | | June 19, 2007 After missing out on Clandestina, went looking for Cossab and guess what? It’s closed too. Chairs stacked inside seems as though it is out of business. | | Gazza (152), Worcester, England | | September 4, 2006 Undeniably the best "scooping" pub in Buenos Aires, Cossab brews 5 of it’s own beers plus three brewed by Murrays as well as Dalinger Stout, Antares barley wine and a whole fridgeful of bottles from Argentinian artesanel brewers alongside some from elsewhere in the world. Subdued lighting, varied music and sociable staff make this a great place to spend an evening (or two) filling your book with scoops! The beers brewed here are, IMO, the best of the 78 Argentine beers I sampled. | | Fukito (17), Ann Arbor, Michigan | | August 21, 2006 [ Updated January 4, 2007 ] The best beer bar and the widest selection in Argentina. It´s based almost exlcusively in beer. You can always find around 10 taps (a couple of them rotating) and about 40 bottled beers (divided among macros, craft and imported). The attention is great, but rather slow and the "picadas are fine too". Price is ok and according to the selection. Ambientation is rustic but ideal for a beer bar. | | Lubiere (335), Ottawa, Ontario | | June 6, 2006 [ Updated June 7, 2006 ] This is the best beer bar in Baires in terms of beer selection. They have pretty much everything in the neighbouring provinces, in bottles, and 15 taps (try the sampler of all 15, pretty intense). They have 5 beers of their own on tap. Like most beer bars in Argentina, you wont go wrong with the picada. Man, I liked the bondiola. Nicolas and Guillermo have work ahead of them! |
