66 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 3/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 6/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 14/20 Contrucci (9) , Chile | February 16, 2008 Upstairs in a kind of a loft-type place, very trendy. Surprisingly, clients were more women than men when I visited. It looks more than a lounge than a beer-restaurant. Local brews are excellent. | 76 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 14/20 Fukito (21) Ann Arbor, Michigan | January 13, 2007 Trendy place located in one of the most exclusive neigborhoods of BA. The place is suhshi specialized brewpubs. The beers are godd by argentinian standards, maybe a bit incosistent. The prace are outrageously high for argentinian standards (3 U$S for a 12 oz draft). | 56 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 3/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 12/20 ghawener (70) San Salvador, El Salvador | November 14, 2006 Thanks to Fukito for the recommendation. Not what you would expect from a Brewpub, very modern and ecclectic. Their own beer selection is interesting and worth a try. | 78 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 15/20 Gazza (160) Worcester, England | September 7, 2006 A strange place upstairs in very posh building in a very posh area, somewhere you’d never expect to brew - I certainly didn’t and thought i’d been conned until I looked above the bar and saw the vessels gleaming away! Brews 8 beers in a wide variety of styles for the bright young things who inhabit the place (it’s more like a club than pub) who obviously have lots of money - ARG$15 for 5 samples or ARG$10 for a glass is London prices! Decent beers nevertheless and, if you’re lucky, The Smiths on the sound system!
In the posh Recoleta area, not a million miles from Buller, It’s only a ten-minute walk from Retiro rail stations along the busy Del Libertador highway and Libertad is the sixth on the left, about 750 metres.
I thought that some of the beers were excellent (barley wine, stout) whilst some were terrible (Belgian). VERY expensive for BsAs, but they’re trying to keep it "exclkusive". | 74 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 14/20 Lubiere (412) Ottawa, Ontario | June 8, 2006 I quite liked this place. Very modern, art nouveau, cubist paintings. A very nice and eclectic menu, but very pricey for BA (well, this is the Patio Bullrich area). We had a nice assortment of sushi (minus the smoked slamon, which they were out). The beer is however, subpar to other places in BA. |
