76 I visited twice while I was in town on business. Nice assortment of offerings. I appreciated that the draft menu was updated daily. Bartenders were knowledgeable and offered samples of beers they thought I might like based on my comments and choices. |
84 This is a nice spot. The look is similar to other World of Beers. Spacious and nice enough. Sort of corporate, but not in a bad way. The bartender was really friendly and knowledgeable. I watched him picked out beers for pretty much everyone, and I thought his recommendations were pretty spot on. No food, which is kind of a bummer if you are trying to eat and drank (as I was), but delivery from the Greek place down the street was fast and easy. The selection was very solid as well, with quite a few NC beers on I hadn’t tried before. Prices are pretty reasonable. As a note, they do have wine and liquor now if that impacts anyone in your group. Apparently its a relatively recent change. |
84 Almost all great taps . Tonight about 8 sour wilds on. Good service. Very large bar with redwood. Modern decor laid back ambiance. Expensive relatively speaking. |
88 I’ve been to 3 of these locations and I’ve been really impressed by the their tap lists, the large numbers of seasonals and new beers, the large number of local taps, and their happy hour specials. This location had a really knowledgable, bartender who knew his product and made some great suggestions. The tend to build these things in new upscale developments so the building is nice and new and well maintained. (They get kudos for the Dyson hand dryers in the bathroom.) the bottle selection is quite good and sizable and frankly it’s what should be used to measure other places in town. |
90 Really glad I stumbled across this place. Happened to be in the right place at the right time for Stone Grapefruit Ruination tapping. Huge selection including Enjoy By on tap. I was in heaven. Super friendly staff. Please bring one to Pittsburgh! |
90 This is one of the best beer selections I’ve seen in Charlotte, only Duckworth’s would even be in the conversation. There are a ton of taps with plenty of locals, regionals and rarities. Service was prompt and knowledgeable, it’s apparent they are used to dealing with people that know virtually nothing about craft beer, but that’s no one’s fault. World of Beer has a very stock, chain beer restaurant feel but it’s well laid out and inviting. If you’re in town looking to geek out on a high quality beer selection, this is an excellent place to start. They do not have a kitchen, but it is encouraged to order delivery from the neighborhood restaurants. The Greek place is awesome. |
100 The service was amazing. They were more than happy to introduce into craft beer. Now, the game is on:) |
100 Good people, good times, great beer |
86 A chain place with chsracter. Service was great. Huge choice. No food, but you can order delivery from other places. No other booze or wine, just beer. As the name implies. |
