68 I didn’t realize that this was in the database. I looked for it several times over the years but I guess I didn’t know that it closed shortly after I visited in late 2010. This is a semi upscale French restaurant with some pretty good food. I had the feeling that we were under-dressed but that’s fine, so long as the service isn’t too bad as a result. Actually they asked if we were there to sit at the bar. Two meals and two beers came out to a fairly expensive tab. One of those beers was a house beer which I later found out was made by Two Brothers and was (probably) a rebranded Domaine DuPage. Not the best destination for beer but certainly a nice restaurant. |
70 Good bistro style food, not cheap but not overpriced. Upscale atmosphere. Beers tend towards Belgian styles and you can create your own flight which is nice. Occasionally have some rarer options available. |
78 restaurant fare seems untouchable and a bit for the wealthy but upon further inquisition is not. reasonable prices and a wild tap list: hennepin, rare vos, kwak, chimay red, ST unearthly and plenty more. brasserie means brewery, dont forget it! the bartender even mentioned he had 2001 bare tree weiss wine he got direct from jason ebel’s cellar. only $30. |
