Seems closed on Sundays. Went back the next day, very quiet, watched a baseball game with the friendly staff. Tap list was ok but only a couple outstanding ones. Fridge selection was boring and fairly overpriced. Would only recommend it for a couple drinks if the was no cover charge but the place seems quite overhyped imho.

Have been into this place on a couple of trips to Japan. They always have a nice selection of stuff. Fun little place with plenty of Japan craft and lots of imported beers.

Hard to find but a cool bohemian vibe once you get inside with reggae music playing softly in the background. The night I was there there was a German beer takeover so no local beers on tap which was very dissapointing. The fridge is packed with Amercian and Belgian ales priced from 1200 yen. Expect to pay 1620 for a UK draft pint. Overpriced.

UPDATE: I would not recommend popping in just for one unless it is early, as we were a bit shocked to find the table charge and now 8% tax can make a single UK pint 1620. PREVIOUS: They increased the number of taps a couple years ago and have a wide range of J craft. Nice bottle selection, heavy on Europeans and a few American, but many are 1300yen (tax Incl). About 15-20 min walk to Umeda/JR, or 5 min to subway. No cover charge before 6:30pm, otherwise 300 yen per person (you do get a little bite of something for that though). Good Japanese craft beer, plus a few foreign gems that rotate through. Got a pint that was a bit low (5cm of head), but they readily topped it up when asked. Food was decent (sausage platter good).

Tiny little bar with some beer geek paraphanilia scattered. Projector showing stuff on the wall, which distracts a bit. Overall average with a great selection of bottles. I would be much happier if it wasn’t so expensive. Cheaper to go elsewhere within a few blocks.

Small, cozy pub with tons of bottled beers and many good Japanese craft beers on tap. You can always find many good micros from keg or cask. Usually a couple from Germany or America as well. Not a whole lot of English spoken, and there is a $3 charge if you come after 18:00. 5 minute walk from Yodoyabashi station on the Keihan or Subway Midosuji lines. This is still a must stop, even though the selection has become a bit less interesting lately, since the owner opened his second place. Still very good, and the best in the neighborhood, but new places are closing the gap a bit. With so much else in the neighborhood now, I am more likely to hit here for a couple and then crawl around a bit.

I’ve been to Q-Brick about 10 times in the past two years. The only reason I don’t go back is all the time is because the staff is just not that friendly (not unfriendly per say, just cold). The reason I do go back is because it has some of the best beers on tap and there is always something interesting (Hey, they’ll sell Christmas ale in July). Highly recommended stop in Osaka.

Qbrick is one of the oldest craft beer bars in Osaka and still one of the best. They have 16 taps that change often and a good three fridges in the back stuffed full of high quality bottled beer. The prices are average for Osaka and there is no cover charge during events since I have never paid one, it is also no smoking which is great. I’ve been there twice for special events and it is always full of friendly beer lovers willing to chat about beer. The service is good & the staff know their beer. A must visit as part of any Kansai visit for a beer lover, you can also easily visit Beer Belly, Dolphins and Yellow Ape nearby!

Great little wooden bar in the Honmachi area. Nice lineup of beers on tap and in bottles, but needs to do away with the table charge.

Seven or eight years in business, and it’s still one of the best craft beer places in Osaka. The owner is passionate about the brews and often attends events/festivals to seek out new beers. The tap list isn’t overwhelming, but generally has many of the best that Japan offers. Also has Guinness, Sappor Edelpils, and Hoegaarden on tap for those who want something regular. Very large (200+) and varied bottle selection, too. Prices are normal; most brews are offered in three glass sizes. The owner holds frequent beer events, which are always fun. Friendly crowds and good service. Not difficult to get to, either. A short walk from Yodoyabashi Station. This is a good place to visit when you are in Osaka.
Update: The tap selection has been uninspired lately, as the owner seems to be busy with his second cafe. Bottle selection is still good. Newer places in the area provide some competition and varitety.
