70 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 16/20 Scubatrip (36) Annandale, Virginia | June 18, 2012 We went here on our only night in Papeete, after spending 9 days on the other islands. It felt like any brewpub in the States, complete with plenty of outdoor seating on the waterfront, a darker atmosphere inside, sports (rugby) on the small flat screen tvs, and the brewing kettles on display in the front of the restaurant. They only had four beers on tap, but they were all above average. I only had the pizza, which was quite good, though possibly influenced by the cravings for non-seafood. Prices were relatively reasonable, not too bad for the area. Great setting on the waterfront, worth stopping in if you have time. | 72 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 17/20 drpimento (131) La Crosse, Wisconsin | January 13, 2012 Pub outside seating on patio tween sidewalk and street, can be a bit warm, no fans, hope for a breeze.Tables and coasters with logo. Copper part of brewhouse right on front end, the rest in the back. There’s a dining (?) room behind a divider that looks to have maybe the same seating as the front. Food was fab and service decent. They have wi-fi, but only the mgr has the code who wasn’t around and nobody when when would be. There are other pay nets but who knows where to get a pass code. Nice looking old school bar, bit dark inside. some breweriana. TVs with sports. Full bar; 2 barstools. Menu and website are in French; google translate doesn’t work for it. Of course everything is pricey, but so far, the beers are very good. However one beer was a slightly low pour (head below the rim/ no mark). I did get to try their special beer, the Christmas, but their La Bruin (brown) was out for the time being. Located right across the street from the ferry to Moorea and near the Cathedral. | 68 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 5/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 16/20 tomahawk (10) Lille, France | August 28, 2011 This brewpub is definitely the best place to drink quite good beers in Papeete. Prices are not so expensive for the area. | 70 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 4/10 OVERALL 15/20 Sevenlee (54) Central Coast, NSW, Australia | February 3, 2011 Great place in Papeete for a beer, or rather, the only good place. Hinano is the main beer of French Polynesia and it’s very ordinary but this place has it’s own microbrewed beer. Not bad beer but A LOT better than Hinano. Prices can be expensive, but if you’re in French Polynesia, you’re already expecting it. Food was great and staff was also good. One of the best places in Tahiti | 86 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 19/20 jrenkel (1) | September 8, 2006 The privately brewed beer is out of this world. Try the Amber, it’s truly a great brew! The food is good and prices are fair (for Tahiti). Plenty of seating inside and out. Pick a table on the sidewalk under the awning and soak up the colorful comings and goings of locals, tourists and the canine mascot (look for the short legged shepard mix with purple bobbles on his collar; he’s very sweet!)
