Solid spot for good session beers. They do some big beers that are very tasty but don’t experiment very often. They always have a new sessionable beer on tap and they are almost always very good. Selction is a little limited as this is a small spot and their hours are quite limited. Would never find it if you didn’t know it was there, litterally a door on the side of a warehouse that is unmarked is the entrance. Still, good beer and extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Very similar interior to the Causeway Bay location due to the stock decor. Boring but because smaller, the interior feels more intimate and conducive to conversation than Causeway Bay. This location has no patio. Still a peanuts-on-the-floor place for yuppies with good barkeeps and a decent selection of imports to keep the doldrums away. The Hong Kong Beer is served draft here and is probably their best-value brew especially at happy hour.

Tong Chong St has no street sign, so beware. It’s the street immediately East of the MTR subway station that’s got massive glass skyscrapers on it (i.e. expats who drink UK and Belgian ales, which is what East End carries). The selection is about 25 Belgians like Floris (3 kinds, including the quirky Chocolate), plus the ordinary yawn-inducing Belgians you’d see in any US bar. There are about 10 UK beers and 15 US brews, like Brooklyn Lager and Mendocino’s lineup. Then there’s three Hong Kong brews (Hong Kong Lager, some Pale Ale and something called Yoo See Ale (or something like that). There were TVs showing rugby matches - sort of like a UK or US sports bar. The bartender actually spoke english. Beers are about HK$40.

A strange find in East Asia. Looks like an average sports bar tucked in among the high rise buildings in Quarry Bay. They offer local microbrews alongside a vast amount of beers imported especially for them, and we’re talking microbrews. More crowded than the Causeway Bay location, but also more beer-centred.

busy place, more of a sports pub, usually went there with the boys after having played a football game
