20 min drive away from Salzburg’s centre but absolutely worthwile this trip. This is Salzburg’s only real microbrewery, reminding me a bit of US microbreweries. Nice location, large room with visible brewery. The beers, I had so far, are all above average, some even very good. The brewmaster is very innovative and changes his sortiment frequently. Most unique beer is the Horney Betty - a 10% barley wine. I like most the Steinbier, but Edelguss and others are very well balanced too. The brewery has won a lot of medals in Austrian competitions. Food menue is not large, but quality is good. For beer enthusiasts a must place to visit during a Salzburg trip.
