An above-average Nicholsonís pub, very convenient for Clapham Junction station. About 10-12 interesting real ales on, plus a smattering of decent bottles. Well worth a visit if youíre in the area.

Traditional Victorian boozer with a long bar that vanishes around the corner. One of the friendly locals I was chatting to said it was once the longest bar in Europe ! (could be local folklore methinks but it is certainly impressive but is now sadly broken with a permanent gap!).
Nicholsons had a festival on (presumably to coincide with JDW) so there were a good 14 or 15 cask ales available. Got to admit I didnít take too much notice as I had 10 or so minutes for my train and rated a quick half of Kelburn Cart Noir.
I wouldnít reccomend anyone heading out here as a destination venue but if you are passing through CLJ or changing trains, well worth dropping in as itís literally a minutes walk from the station entrance.

Big Nicholsons pub, very handy for Clapham Junction station. Victorian architecture with lots of wood and some stained glass. 16 handpumps plus the usual lager taps. Although the beers will mainly come from the Nicholsons seasonal list (which isnít bad), they do seem to have some leeway to depart from that. Didnít really look at the bottles. Also hold a few beer festivals a year. Can get packed at weekends (hence Iíve knocked down the ambience score a little). Maybe not a destination in itself but certainly worth a look if you are in the area. Donít make the mistake of accidentally walking into the Slug & Lettuce, which is right next door.
