sm89walt (4), Norwich, England does not count - explanation | | February 9, 2010 Brilliant little pub. I always keep an eye on the online beer board for updates on the current selection, which changes regularly with a few trusty stalwarts for good measure. Some of the best kept beers you’ll find. Friendly and welcoming landlord and regulars. I wish this was my local! | harrisoni (6), Ashford, England does not count - explanation | | September 18, 2009 Best pub in Kent? Hard to argue against it. Martyn keeps his beers in perfect condtition. Try your favourite beer and then come here and have it and it will open your eyes and tastebuds. Small venue which means everyone has to share conversations and it is a great way to meet new people. But it is all about the beer and the pickled onions/eggs here. But mostly the beer. The Dark Star Hophead is the best I’ve ever had, the Harvey’s Best Bitter is world class. And the JW Lees Harvest Ale on cask from various years makes this place unique. | kenwildon (1), , England does not count - explanation | | February 7, 2009 Probably the best pub in England | | Phil (20), , England | | September 23, 2006 Fant-orgasmic... Is this the past-present-future of decent beer.? Informed, Passionate Owner, serving top quality beer, well presented. (Halves are in Crystal!) And, JW Lees Harvest... Calva and Sherry Finished Vintages! I for one, will be regular here! Get there! |
