68 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 6/10 VALUE 10/10 OVERALL 13/20 b727trijet (202) Isleworth, England | May 19, 2013| Updated May 21, 2013 Beerwise by far the best pub in Hounslow for over 10 years. And one of the cheapest in the country, on Wednesdays it’s £1.75 a pint! Food is cheap and cheerful. Usually between 4-7 guest ales on, often all strong ones which sell well here, as do black beers. Quality usually good partly due to high turnover by loyal regular customers and visitors alike. Local micro breweries such as Twickenham and Windsor & Eton regularly feature. I have updated the opening & closing times which are another good excuse to visit! | 70 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 4/10 VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 12/20 wimpyjoe (617) Manchester, England | April 4, 2013| Updated May 21, 2013 A short walk away from the main pedestrian shopping area, but still very much under the Heathrow flight path that makes this such a noisy area to frequent. This Wetherspoon pub is not the biggest but it’s quite quiet during the daytime so suffices - the bingo hall next door probably gets busier at times. The decor is ordinary for this chain but comfortable with its mix of wood furnishings, carpets and comfy seating. Ale is on a couple of rows of pumps at the bar. | 60 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD 5/10 VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 12/20 BeerViking (53) Lüneburg, Germany | June 8, 2012| Updated May 21, 2013 A typical London ’Spoons, the ale is generally very well kept, the food is the usual not particularly inspired but good value JDW range. It’s a bit scruffy, but the ambiance is OK and the staff friendly (though there’s not always enough of them!). There’s not many places to get decent real ale is Hounslow, but this is one of the best - and it’s certainly the cheapest and has the best range. | 78 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 6/10 VALUE 10/10 OVERALL 16/20 MikeJohnson (11) Feltham, Middlesex, England | August 10, 2011| Updated May 21, 2013 A classic Wetherspoons pub, staff very friendly and a good well kept selection of ales. The decor is getting a bit shabby but that’s not too much of a worry. I regard it as a safe pub because even when there is a bit of bother in the neighbouring pubs I have never seen any trouble there. |
