One of my favourite pubs full stop! Always a great selection of cask and keg but it varies every day! Some visits though there will be not much on below 6% and £4.50 but other days i want to try everything! Staff are excellent and will recommend beers and let you try before you buy. A must visit when in Manchester.

Called in for just the one with the wife and family, on a busy Easter Saturday afternoon.. Blown away by the selection of pumps, let alone the bottle menu. Sat outside with a pint of Topaz. Busy but not too busy, although they could have had another bar person on. Also, daughter wanted a lemonade, and the best they could do was 2x125 ml bottles of Schweppes mixer. Also, quite pricey: I appreciate it may be more expensive to stock and manage some of the more exotic brews, but the Topaz is a fairly standard pale ale from less than 100 miles away, and I thought it was expensive. All that said, this is a top notch beer emporium that I would visit again and again if I lived in Manchester.

Really nice place, lots of good beers and available in 1/3 which is great for the stronger ones. Good.

Nice place set a side the main road(s). Actually easy to walk by... Anyhow got a tiny little beer garden and upstairs more space. A rather eclectic range of selected beers from all over the world. Price wise it is acceptable but only since it is allowed to also split a pint in half and the price splits into exactly half as well, which is not necessarily usual. Not sure if they serve food, I was too occupied studying the beer menu. Beer is kept well and bar staff is friendly. Loads of beer enthusiasts and a like in here. Excellent place!

Truly fabulous modern place. (Donít expect an old English pub). One of the few places Iíve ever been without a single wasted taphead - no macrolager for the masses, just 16-20 great casks and kegs. And lots of bottles, too. Youngish, kind of hipster crowd, but with a few old-timers to keep it interesting. Highly recommended.

Great selection of beer and a friendly atmosphere. Pretty crowded on a Friday evening, but we managed to get some seats upstairs. I liked the ambiance better downstairs than upstairs. Anyway the beer is in focus and it is an excellent place for decent beer. Both tap and bottle selection was very good. Fairly central location too. Well worth a visit and I will certainly come back if I go back to Manchester some day.

Visited this pub more than once, and itīs a great pub. Newer modern pub, in 2 floors, great beercelection, both on tap and the huge bottle selection. Both UK and from around the world. Friendly staff, great atmosphere and the beers in good condition. Absolutely wort a re-visit :-)

Has a great selection of beers and ales that cover the entire downstairs bar and none of the regular taps that you see if the majority of pubs up and down the country. The only downside to this is the slightly inflated prices to cover the extra costs of transporting these beers, although the ales are more expensive than other local outlets too. The setting is a small building set on three levels in a short terrace row in Manchesterís Northern Quarter. The decor makes good spartan use of the building giving it a modern look in an old building. The decor is mainly beer related paraphernalia and seating is on two floors with a beer garden for warmer days.
