Sillmae is back on tap as of Sept 24, 2008. Wonderful stuff. I walked into the place around noon. I was the only customer, but staff didn’t even glance up. Had beers and staff became communicative on last beer. The staff is young, hot Estonian women with attitude, who do not speak any English. Probably some of the rudeness is language issues. I could forgive my waitress, but she was easy on the eyes. Selection is still biggest in Tallin and prices are great. This has to be a must stop on any trip to Tallin. My major complaint with this place is the total lack of atmosphere. It is downright depressing, like a pre-independence Soviet style cafe.

For Estonia, a wide range of beers. Tasty snacks. Pleasant surroundings, but not one that makes you want to spend a long time there. No Sillamae any time in the last year :-(

This place appears to have the best bottled beer selection for Estonian beers in Tallinn as well as Sillamäe München on tap but the service is very slow sometimes and the staff can appear rude although maybe this is just my bad luck or down to linguistical problems and cultural differences. I feel that they could be a bit more adventurous with some of the Estonian bottled beers and maybe they could occasionally stock a different Sillamäe beer from time to time but overall, it is not a bad place purely for the beer on offer. The food I have sampled a couple of times and it was good value and fairly tasty. I would recommend this place to people who want to try as many Estonian beers as possible as this place has more on offer than any other place I have encountered in Tallinn.

Very cool looking place. It looks like it was carved from rock in some parts of the interior. Bench seating. 9 or so taps, 70 bottles. Set inside what looks like an old guard tower. Staff was helpfull and gave us free snacks.

This should be a great place - loads of beers including at least 30 Estonian (although not enough from smaller brewers IMO) and Sillmae Vaskne on tap - the star of the show. However, the staff were rude and unhelpful when we visited (twice) hence the low scores.

Stocks a vast number of Estonian beers, as well as imports. What’s more important: They’ve got Sillamäe. Don’t leave here without trying out that gem.

When I visited this place they had listed 111 beers: 35 Estonians - including Sillamae Vaskne on tap - 14 Russians and 4 Ukrainians. Also food is available but I didn’t eat, so I am not able to rate it.
