An excellent little pub near downtown. Sometimes rare beers from small breweries in Germany or in Belgium.

small and isolated place. May be hard to find for the first time. Owner -tender is an expert and brings lots of special beers. Ambiance may vary depending on the people inside. generally ok.

Stopped by on a busy day in Helsinki for a few beers. I had one of the obligatory Cantillons, but beyond that the stock was very, very thin. The owner was getting ready to stock up for a Belgian week, so I understand, but it was still very disheartening. I’ll be back and hopefully be able to raise my selection score of this place at that point. The place is a bit scruffy looking, not like what you’d expect from a beer geek kind of bar. And yeah, it is hard to find for the first time. Just find building #2 on Santakatu and walk around it, One Pint is impossible to miss if you make a full circle.

An excellent pub which is off the beaten track but well worth seeking out. The main reason I visited there was to try the Cantillon brews which are made specifically for the pub but they also have a good range of other bottled beers and beers on tap. The lady who served me was very friendly and I am looking forward to going back here again. Highly recommended.

Always something special for the ratebeerer, since their own imports selection is wide.

Unmatched selection of bottled beers in Finland. Not what I’d describe as cosy, as it’s a bit of a scruffy place. Friendly staff will help with your beer selection where they can, but due to the bredth of their stock sometimes they aren’t familiar with them all.

Unlike some, I didn’t have too much difficulty finding this place, partly because I could actually see my hotel from the bar. If in doubt look for the footbridge over the canal, which is right outside One Pint. It is difficult to rate the ambience of this place - it is tatty, but so are many classic beer bars that I’ve been to. Many of the classic British beer pub are also scruffy street-corner locals with a mix of beer enthusiasts and "normal" locals so the feel was quite familiar to me. Service was generally enthusiastic (in 3 visits) but can depend on who is working there on the day. I’m usually not that interested when travelling in bars that sell foreign beers but the selection of Belgians and the like here was extremely esoteric. But as the owner is involved in organising the Helsinki Beer Festival many of these were available at the festival (which i was in Finland for). Has a house brew - Alpo’s IPA from Stadin plus a beer called Red Neck made for Diamond Beer by Proefbrouwerij that isn’t usually available anywhere else. Don’t expect to find a big range of beers from Finnish micros. The real essentials here are the three Cantillons made specially for One Pint and not available elsewhere. It cost me 40 euros to try all three but I wouldn’t have missed it. I loved the place. Others might not. Either way its a classic, idiosyncratic beer bar.

This is propably the most interesting beer pub in Helsinki. It has the feel of a corner pub where locals get drunk, but the selection is amazing. Not that it’s the biggest selection I’ve seen, but certainly one of the most interesting. Sometimes has foreign staff. They also have some whisky rarities.

Interesting place. Its hard to find set amongst apartment buildings near the Ruoholahti Metro Station. Qutie small, 3 tables, a couch and a coffee table. Also has a pool table which wasn’t used when I was there. Empty bottles on shelves line the walls. Lots of empty bottles of the 3 Cantillons made for the One Pint Pub on display on the window ledges. Good service although communicating was challenging at times. The bartender brought be a bottle of Sahti out of the blue. Good selection of Belgian and American beer. A must stop if you find yourself in Helsinki. This is a Cantillon lovers paradise.

Their special events make this pub stand out in Helsinki. It’s hard to find, well hidden in Ruoholahti. Often they get some of the beers that was left from the Helsinki Beer Festival.
They also have beers that you only can get at their pub, e.g. Red Neck and Alpo’s IPA.
