jmorey01 (1), , Florida does not count - explanation | | September 26, 2008 Greatest selection of beer in the area. Always bringing in new items while keeping customer favorites in stock. Owner’s knowledge of beer and wine is extensive. | knightdr (3), Valrico, Florida does not count - explanation | | June 26, 2008 Best bottle offerings in the area. Deepak is a very enthusiastic owner that loves beer (and wine) and is very knowledgeable in his craft. Very easy to spend 30-40 mins in his store. Good place to stock the beer fridge with some of the best available. Deepak is the man! | | kiefdog (58), Tampa, Florida | | June 22, 2008 Visited on 6/21/08. This has to be just about our favorite beer store in the Tampa area after just our first visit. Located in an unassuming strip mall near the Brandon Town Center Mall, the interior is well-maintained and very attractively arranged. It was apparent quickly that beer takes center stage here, as it is located on the main aisle, all along the back wall in the coolers, and just about everywhere that we looked. The bottle selection was so incredible that it took us quite a while to take it all in. Every time I looked around I saw something else that caught my eye or that I cannot find just about anywhere. Deepak (the owner), greeted us quickly and took us on a tour of the rarer beers in the store in between checking out other customers. We must have spent 30-45 minutes here, talking with Deepak, taking in the huge selection, and marveling at how he is able to stock some of the rare beers in his shop. Struise? De Dolle? Nogne O? Weyerbacher? De Proef? Dieu du Ciel? Mikkeller? Haandbryggieret? He has them all. And a lot of beers that we had never seen anywhere else we have traveled. It seemed that every few minutes Deepak would retreat to the cooler to dig out a rare gem that he had been waiting to sell to a fellow beer lover like himself. He sold us two of his rarest bottles on this trip, and we really appreciated Deepak’s attention throughout our visit. What a wonderful place to visit. This one is worth a trip from anywhere in Florida. In fact, Deepak indicated that he has a customer who travels from South Carolina once a month to stock up at his store. Yes, some of the prices might be a little high, but where else will you find this selection in central Florida (or anywhere else for that matter)? Excellent beer store with a dedicated, knowledgeable, friendly and approachable owner. Thanks, Deepak! | gonzo46and2 (7), Tampa, Florida does not count - explanation | | May 26, 2008 The service rating should go to eleven for this place. Deepak was extremely helpful in suggessting rare beer and really seemed proud of his selection. I noticed the he had Alchel and Konnings trappist beers and asked about Rochefort. He went to his stash in the back and snagged me one. I love this place. | | sebletitje (13), Tampa, Florida | | May 11, 2008 This is one place that is well worth the visit.
The service is top notch. You can’t find any friendlier and kind owner than Deepak.
Everything about him shows that he loves what he is doing and it is reflected in the service you get at his store.
Deepak keeps getting the most hard to find beers coming to the store.
The store has an amazing collection of wines, meads and most importantly beers. From very hard to find to the most general craft beers, there is something for everyone and every wallet.
He has some very rare beers that he keeps hidden in the back and might be willing to sell to a few selected customers who know how to appreaciate a good beer.
| TampaBrew (1), Tampa, Florida does not count - explanation | | March 31, 2008 Owner is very helpful and friendly and is in tune with the craft beer world. Excellent selection, reasonable prices. A weekly stop for me. You can spend a LOT of money here on good beer. | | PorterPounder (160), Tallahassee, Florida | | March 28, 2008 Visited here in March ’08 on the way down to Bradenton for a spring training game. Small store with an absolutely huge selection. The owner, Deepak, was very helpful and friendly - even brought up Ratebeer when pointing out some meads he suggested I try and even threw in an extra beer on the house when he saw how much I was purchasing. Lots of rare Belgians that I had never seen, first time I had seen Pannepot - picked up one of those. Surprise find of Harviestoun Ola Dubh that they had behind the counter - looking forward to that one. Prices were reasonable and clearly marked. Plenty of miscellaneous singles for us tickers. Highly recommended if in the area - easy access off of I-75. | nightwounds (1), Tampa, Florida does not count - explanation | | March 3, 2008 [ Updated March 15, 2008 ] Great beer, great store, buried in the commercial wasteland of Brandon but well worth the trip. The owner is very in tune with the RateBeer crowd and tries to bring in plenty of the top rated brews. | BorksBabe (1), Tampa, Florida does not count - explanation | | January 27, 2008 Great place- Owner and his wife are very sweet! :) If he doesn’t have it, he’ll get it for you!!! :) | | Ibrew2or3 (131), Safety Harbor, Florida | | December 5, 2007 Located in a fairly new looking strip mall a few doors down from Old Chicago eatery. The gentleman working there (the owner most likely) was very friendly and helpful. He commented by saying how surprised he was to see me walk into the store straight over to grab up bottles of Mikkeller and Olfabrikken. Very nice beer selection with lots and lots of singles to choose from both on the shelf and in the coolers. The pricing was interesting. Some beer was priced as low as I’ve seen it and others were some 20% more. I spent plenty during my only visit so far. If it wasn’t an hour or so away I’d most likely stop by monthly. | View Page : 1 2 3
