| crizay (105), Brook Park (was Tampa,FL), Ohio | | November 29, 2009 If I still lived in Tampa this would be my favorite place to go, just a quiet chill little spot with great beer. Having most of their seating outside is a huge thing for me ecspecially when visiting Florida in November. The food is all mexican and the shrimp burrito I had was great. The service was spot on all night and the owners did everything to make sure we were taken care of. They had enough Cigar City beers to make me happy, a big bottle list and 2 of their own when I was there. To sum it up I had a killer time and will definitely be back next year. | | Ibrew2or3 (161), Safety Harbor, Florida | | September 6, 2009 Cool little place with very limited indoor seating but spacious outdoor/patio options. This outdoor space must be amazing during the cooler months. Doug (head brewer here, currently also assistant brewer at CCB) puts out two tasty brews on tap along with their short yet very very tasty guest tap list. Doug strives to have one of his IPA on all the time. He seems to move through new beers and “one offs” all the time. His staple IPA might be the best FL brewed IPA I’ve had. The food is tasty and I love the tortilla crust mini pizzas. The times I’ve been there they haven’t accepted credit cards so that was a bit odd. It is a good thirty minutes away but plan to come back often. | | kiefdog (101), Tampa, Florida | | June 17, 2009 Visited early in 2009 on a late Saturday morning and had the place almost to ourselves. Very nice selection of beers both on draught and in the bottle. Pleasantly surprised to see a really nice selection of American craft and Belgian beers. Food was very good as well but a little expensive for lunch. Service was excellentl. I hear that Doug is selling his homebrew creations there now, and given that he was just hired as the assistant brewer for Cigar CIty Brewing, it seems that we will have to make another trip to see what interesting beers are on tap. | ObsceneOne (4), Tampa, Florida does not count - explanation | | June 6, 2009 The place is great. The food isn’t the cheapest in the city but the freshness and the quality is where it’s at. Service is swift, informal and very attentive. Beer selction is great with about 50 to choose from including a section of just locals including Cigar City, Dunedin, St. Somewhere and 2 house brews. The usual suspect were covered English ales, IPAs, Porters, wit/hefe and stouts plus Abby’s, Saisons, lamics and Gouzes. Go there enjoy the patio and the people. |
