8 reviews for Lagerhaus Brewery and Grill
| sebletitje (78), Tampa, Florida | | August 31, 2009 Old Hoppers reopened under Lagerhaus.
Beers are mighty fine for a brewpub, and Frans brews some delicious brews that are constantly being rotated However, I was very disappointed in the Lambic which tasted more like an old wine cooler. They also have a fairly large amount of guest taps.
Staff is friendly, though they could use a little beer 101 class. Food is the regular pub grub with some of the dishes having a German influence.
A good place though lacking any sense of German spirit and instead turns into a very Americanized place. Sad considering the fact that they seem to put an emphasis on the German ownership of the place.
Place gets quite busy, and best to visit during non-peak hours. | | jimbo29 (12), tarpon springs, Florida | | February 23, 2009 The food is great. I heard there is an interesting lambic to sample there? service was good also. lots of bottled beer not so many taps. | BeerfishTPA (1), Tampa, Florida does not count - explanation | | October 28, 2008 Cant wait for the beer!! Pizza is amazing! Should start bewing soon! | | Ibrew2or3 (161), Safety Harbor, Florida | | October 15, 2008 This is a partial review. Has this place started brewing beer YET? The last time I was in there the answer was the same as the months and months prior, No. The food is OK and currently the tap list is uninspired compared to a place close by called the Oldsmar Tap House. Not worth a special trip for the food or beer. Stay tuned though. PLEASE NOTE: that map to the right is wrong. It is located across the street from Target adjacent to Publix on East Lake Road at East Lake Woodlands Plaza at Tampa Road and McMullen Booth Road. | | nick76 (76), Tampa, Florida | | August 5, 2008 [ Updated May 10, 2009 ] The food is pretty good and the beer selection is decent but not extensive. It is not a large place but a good place to meet up with friends. | iverble (1), , does not count - explanation | | July 17, 2008 One of the best brewpubs in the bay area. The food is great, and absolutely authentic, the beer is great (including some wonderful unique brews), and the service is top-notch. I’ve been several times, and have never been disappointed. | HopHeadLar (1), does not count - explanation | | April 27, 2008 Nice Friendly environment. Great beer selection. 15 on tap, 50 + more in bottles. Brewery not online yet, but I was assured it would be VERY soon, followed by an outside BierGarten. It was refreshing to see the correct glasses for each beer and good prices for the size of the glasses 14,22,33 oz glasses . Pizza best in the area, very authentic. Great WienerSchnitzel. Did I mention great Beer and Hi-Def Big screens. | | Quake1028 (30), Tampa, Florida | | February 20, 2008 Owned by Franz, former head brewer at Hoppers. Unfortunately no brewing is going on here yet. The only beer he had of his own was his Lambic. The guest tabs were uninspiring, Hofbrau, Chimay, Lost Coast, etc. The usual suspects. Food was very good, bratwurst and kraut very well done. Service was friendly and attentive. Will need to re-rate once the brewery is up and running. |
