Great brewshop in Pinellas Park. Friendly service and if they are busy and can’t help you right away, they give you a homebrew. Good selection of malts, grains, hops and yeast. A must stop for the homebrewer.

This is a really nice shop if your just getting in to the homebrew scene (as i am) I went in there with nothing more then a slight idea of what it all involed, and the nice people there got me all the stuff i would need, and help me through what the process would be. Seemed like they had a good bit of supplies and what not, and again the service was great. Hopefully they will start to give more of the space in the building to brewing, as most of it is geared toward wine making presently.

Cool little family owned type of place. I notice that they almost seem to specialize in Extract brewing, many different types I’ve never seen. But they were really lacking on grains big time. It does look like more of a wine place there must have been 30 carboys of wine sitting around. They have a great selection of hops pretty much all of it being available in pellets and whole leaf which is great, they carry Wyeast & White Labs. They also ship! So here’s the rundown I will get my Whole Leaf Hops and Wyeast here, but will definitely continue to get my grains, pellets, and White Labs from Brew Shack.

This homebrew shop is very active considering this is Florida, land of the macro brew (generally Floridians don’t like beer, they prefer Bud). This place tends to have more wine brewing enthusiasts than beer. No matter. So long as they can stay profitable. As far as I know there is really nowhere else to go for supplies locally. They have three or more bulk extract selections and an adequate variety of specialty grain, hops and yeast. Some stuff can be dated so I pay particular attention to packaging dates. They certainly can’t carry everything so be prepared for ingredient alternatives. If you’re in western Hillsborough or Pinellas county and are interesting in getting into homebrewing this place is essential. Stop by and let these nice people guide you through the wonders of brewing. It really is easier than you think. Hey, I can do it.
