i rated this a 19 because i love this place. i’ve been there about 8 times now. good selection of singles, the food is your basic sandwich kinda stuff. its nice and away from everything else, they stay open late, and they have the proper glassware to accomodate what your drinking. the staff is great to talk to and hang out with and props to Dave for being helpful. not enough can be said for Dave!!! awesome place.

Tiny, bare-bones place with primitive decor of beer cans, beer bottles and name brand serving trays. One 17" television hanging in one corner of the joint. Ten tables, with one large enough to accommodate a party of five. 180 beers in bottles. Nothing spectacular as far as U.S. craft beer, but plenty of global stuff... most of which I’ve already tried out. Tough to find unless you know the address and are really looking for it. Parking is very tough to come by on weekends. Easiest entrance is the back door, which faces Spanish Street... less of a crowd, plus you don’t have to negotiate all the people crowding the small, indoor strip mall within which the place is located. Wait staff is very attentive, but then again, there are only ten tables to look after. The place also seems to be out of several of their beers at any given time, so have a backup selection each time you order... just in case.

A trip to St. Augustine is not complete for the beer drinker without a stop at the Rendezvous. Incredilble selection of bottle beers in this tiny spot, the food is quite good given the small and limited menu and the barkeeps are always friendly and helpful. The specialty glassware is also unique. The only drawback is the size of the establishment and no taps but otherwise very convienent to all the historic sites. A great place to wait for the wife and try a few worldly beers or more while she shops.

I just happened to be walking by and stopped in a bought some beer here. They were quite expensive, and the staff was very knoledgeable about their products. Good selection, did not try the food.

Second time I have been here and both times were a great time. Small location at the end of a long row of stores. Small bar of five to six stools and six to seven tables for food and drink. Great service with knowledgable bar tender. Selection is very good of west of the Mississippi and foreign brews. Very basic menu of food that I had to pass due to eating lunch before hand. Great location I will always go to when in the area.

This is a crazy little tiny hole in the wall place with probably the biggest beer selection within 60 square miles.

I stumbled accross this good beer oasis while touring downtown St. Augustine totally by mistake. It seemed that every other bar in the area carried just the major macros, plus Yuengling and maybe a Dixie beer. Then there is this 100 square foot bar in the back of a tourist mall with t-shirt and candy stores that caught my attention with a little "import beers" on the sandwich board out front with the lunch special. So I stopped in and my jaw dropped. There’s three coolers on the wall accross from the door packed with a huge selection of micros and imports organized by region that I’d expect to find in a beer snob bar in a big city. About 100 total (in Florida?!). The beer of the month was Flying Dog Brewery out of Colorado. I didn’t try the food but the ambiance was of a unique blend of college town anti frat bar and vacation hideway. I’m sure at times they get loaded up with tourists, but I lucked out (I may have been the only one there). The service was good and the proprieter was willing to chat and allowed me to snap a few photos. Check this place out if you are in the Jax/St. Aug area for sure.

Quiet, little out-of-the-way bar in the midst of a major tourism venue. Fantastic collection of imports. Some micros.Staff knows their beers and can make suggestions. Background music: Deliverence meets Led Zep/Stones.Food excellent and cheap. If you smoke, the cigar shop across the street lets you bring beers to their patio. If you can’t find it here, they will tell you where to find it!

Many beers, though much of the selection was part of an effort to have something from everywhere. Still, there were several I hadn’t had. Also had a friendly staff, seemed fairly knowledgeable and quite accommodating.

This was a great place. The bar itself sits at the end of a hallway in a shopping area at St. George St. and Hypolita Ave. in the historic district of St. Augustine. The atmosphere would be best described as somewhere between Pub and quiet college bar. The staff was extremely knowledgeable about their products and friendly. The noise level inside was low to moderate and was friendly enough for a family to visit. They had typical pub fare that served its purpose and there are plenty of parking areas easily within stumbling distance. With over 150 beers available and new ones added all the time it's bound to please.
