| daknole (90), Plantation, Florida | | August 7, 2009 The service sucks ass here. It could be a good place if they knew how to take care of their customers. Selection of beer is pretty good...beyond that? Nothing to get excited about. | | desurfer (77), Pinellas Park, Florida | | June 4, 2009 Hidden in the back of a strip mall. Not much for decor; it’s a dark, sports bar type of place. But the wall of taps on the back wall tell me all I need to know. Great selection of draft beers! Food is tasty and comes in ginormous portions. Worth the stop in the Tampa area for sure. | | fluffy (19), Florida | | April 18, 2009 odd mix of sports bar and beer garden. it looks like your typical neighborhood dive that folks come to watch a game and have some nachos, but at some point hired a beer nerd to run the bar. so its kinda run down and slapdash, but with a better and more quality beer selection that most dive bars. i still dont understand the "arabian nights" looking private room in the one corner. or all the blacklight. oh well. service is adequate, which is fine. beers are a nice cross selection with some eyebrow-raising surprises. i had the Bernardus 8 and 12, as well another i cant quite remember. beers tasted clean with no skunk lines. food is good as well, and prices were about what i expected. | | Sammy (273), Toronto, Ontario | | February 18, 2009 I was sent here by locals, rather than continuing on to Beer World, that itself is an endorsement, but I was disapointed at the selection. Kind of dark in the middle of the Sunday, next to a supermarket in a street mall. Mostly macros, several micros mostly local brewed stuff. Not so many bottles as I was told their cooler was out of service, however those bottles were the macros. Service was attentive. | gonzo46and2 (7), Tampa, Florida does not count - explanation | | May 26, 2008 Went on a slow Saturday afternoon at about 4PM. Almost nobody was there. Nice tap selection. I got a Maudite, Wolaver’s Oatmeal Stout, and a Fuller’s porter. All those beers were happy hour prices at around 3.50 a glass! Great food menu. Tried the Pierogis and the baked chicken wings. Both were top notch. This is my new pub in Tampa. | | dalepryor (16), Paducah, Kentucky | | May 20, 2008 A Pub that has 45 taps and a few bottles nothing wrong there. I’ve gone on a couple occasions and seen different selections of beers. The most recent i tried the brooklynator doppelbock, so they keep a rotating stock. The Staff is real friendly and helpful and the prices are outstanding. I highly recommend if you are in the area. | | kiefdog (101), Tampa, Florida | | May 4, 2008 Visited this establishment two times in a 10 day period during late April, 2008. Selection was good but they were out of some of the more interesting beers on both trips. Service was deplorable on both trips: mainly slow response time to the point where I had to search out the server for another beer, glass of water or to order food. I was informed on one trip that the server for the outdoor area did not arrive until 6pm even though they had an indoor server and only two occupied tables (and why couldn’t they help us again?). Bartender seemed more interested in counting tip money than pouring my Wittekerke Witbier or St. Bernardus Abt 12. Most of the people working in the bar seemed to have limited beer knowledge. Many of the beers I have had here on tap taste different (in a negative way) than at other beer bars in the area. Not sure what to make of that. Decent bottled beer selection including the likes of Westmalle, Trappist Rochefort (when available) and others. | | Quake1028 (30), Tampa, Florida | | December 8, 2007 Haven’t been to this place since it was Bilmar Station. 45 taps and a good amount of bottles. Prices are a bit on the high side. Nice selection of Belgian taps and a good selection of American stuff, from Lagunitas to Rogue to Bells to Dogfish Head. Didn’t try any food, so can’t rate that part of the equation. I was expecting a bit more, but maybe I’m still chasing Redlight Redlight in Tampa when one clearly doesn’t exist. | | Floridared (10), Largo, Florida | | December 2, 2007 Great sports bar, although we deliberately went out of football season and on a sunday afternoon. The four of us had a great time tasting all the beers, and enjoying the quiet, you may guess I am getting old!!! | Dan32 (1), does not count - explanation | | September 25, 2007 Dont go on a friday or saturday...Tank has these bad live bands that play and its so loud in there you cant even have a conversation with the person next to you. You get a headache instead of a buzz. |
