11 reviews for Yeoman’s Road Pub
| nick76 (76), Tampa, Florida | | November 17, 2008 [ Updated May 10, 2009 ] The place is really exciting and loud on the weekend but more laid back during the week. It’s a great place to meet friends for a good time if your into the live music scene (who isn’t). The prices are way too high and the food is only better than average. The staff is cool. | | kiefdog (103), Tampa, Florida | | June 22, 2008 Visited on 6/21/08. Located in an aging strip mall on Davis Islands in Tampa, the interior has a quaint, neighborhood pub feel. Even during the middle of the day, the bar seems dark but still inviting. Our server greeted us quickly and went over the draft and bottle selections. She did not produce a draft menu but rather listed them from memory. Not many interesting beers on draft on this day, but the bottle selection was solid. The bottle listing not only provided the name, ABV, country of origin and size of the beer, but it also gave a few tasting notes that helps those not well-acquainted with beer. The food we had was also very good and quickly delivered to our table. Granted, we visited in the middle of a Saturday afternoon with only 5 other patrons in the pub, but we were pleased with what we experienced. The only disappointment was that my Chimay Red was served in a Miller Lite pint glass, but the server explained that patrons are stealing all of the nice glassware (and she indicated that it should have been served in a goblet, thus somewhat exonerating here in MHO). Worth a trip if you are in the Tampa area. | | fluffy (19), Florida | | April 6, 2008 been there a few times to see a band play. nice laid back atmospere. i usually go with the Great White Ale as my default most of the time. cool area of davis islands and fun place overall. | unrulythings (2), Portland, Oregon does not count - explanation | | January 19, 2008 a great local bar, with superb local music. when I was living in Florida, I enjoyed getting there early for a seat at the bar and a beer or two along with great conversation with the friendly bar tenders. become a regular at Yeomans... it’s a fabulous spot for good beer, good conversation and great music. | | Floridared (10), Largo, Florida | | December 2, 2007 I have only been to Yeomans once, but it was a cool pub and in a nice location. Plenty of beers to choose from (can only drink so many in one visit) I never ate, but noticed a lot of people ordering food. Def be back. | jbird73 (3), orlando, Florida does not count - explanation | | October 11, 2007 worth the trip out there the selection is great and they know there shit good people and good times | | Quake1028 (30), Tampa, Florida | | September 9, 2007 18 taps, 6 or 7 were craft beers, the rest macros or cider. Hugh bottle selection. Small, atmospheric pub. Tiny little space, which encourages chatting. Bartender was very good. Friendly place. | | elmatador00 (22), j-action-ville, North Carolina | | March 30, 2007 Had a great time out here in Davis Island. Picked up a couple of different brews for the rating. Most of there beers you can find at Knightly or in Tampa. They have local brewerys on tap which was fun. Great bartender, forgot her name. But great time. Good cigar shop across the street. | | crizay (118), Brook Park (was Tampa,FL), Ohio | | January 13, 2006 [ Updated March 22, 2006 ] I liked this place don’t get me wrong but their draft selection at least at the night I went only had a couple goodies, there were about 10 crap macros out of the 16 drafts there menu says they carry. The bottle lineup was nice and pretty reasonable on price compared to a store. Food was bomb the corned beef reuben kicked ass. Pretty small though only about 4 booths and the bar was pretty crammed. Went on a friday and thought it would be crowded but even with a band playing (which they started charging 5$ cover for) it was pretty empty. Our waitress kept pouring my beers into the same glass and my girlfriend even looked at me and said "your pissed aren’t you" but I kept the styles similiar and shrugged it off. Overall it was cool, awesome bottle selection, good draft selection, but too far of a drive for me to go back to a lot. | | NYHarvey (124), New York, New York | | May 20, 2005 [ Updated August 29, 2006 ] Beer selection is one of the better ones for a Pub in Tampa. Food is decent. Staff is pretty knowledgeable and all long term. It’s very live music oriented so go early if you don’t like crowds and noise. There is an outside patio that you can retreat to when it gets super busy.
Food is pub grub, but fairly tasty and not over priced. The atmosphere is definitely divey/neighborhood pub-like, but it has some character.
The beer selection is constantly changing, but they have a lot of great bottles and 20 taps rather than the 16 Crizay mentiones. Of the 20 about 8 are high end macro stuff and the other 12 are micros or Cider. The taps rotate a lot which is good.
Bottled beer selection is up over 100 and the prices are very good for a bar.
