Tucked away amongst the busy Perimeter Mall area (and across the street from a Taco Mac) is Total Wine & More, a large warehouse-style wine-liquor-beer store that, while focused first and foremost on wine, does present a decent beer selection at comparable prices. Of particular note is the ability to create your own six-pack. I find that to be a very nice feature as, let’s face it; let’s be honest, sometimes you don’t necessarily want six entire bottles of DFH Midas Touch, Leinenkugel’s Summer Shandy, or Cave Creek Chili Beer. Typically, I find the staff of alcohol purveyors to be surly, ill-mannered, discourteous cretins. When the employees just leave me alone, I’m thrilled, but the staff here at this particular Total Wine & More was friendly, downright affable, and didn’t hesitate a second to rip apart a few six-packs that had not yet made it to the singles section yet. Me and my newly purchased Full Sail Limited Edition Lager #3 thank you. Not a bad lil’ stop if you’re in the area!

This is definitely a wine place, but they have a pretty decent selection of beer. My opinion on selection might be slightly biased, due to being a Michigander seeing many new brews that aren’t available in Michigan though. Prices compared to what I am used to would definitely be on the better side. I just wish I would have had the opportunity to better use this store, but only had a short stay here.

Hey, this place isn’t that bad. At first, I thought this Total Wine was tanking like the one in Kennesaw. The Total Wine in Kennesaw used to be awesome. They were constantly updating their selection, but then they just stopped. I just went this evening and they had a few cool things. A lot of VERY cheap pale lager selections; not bad I must say. A few different beer sizes I haven’t seen anywhere else e.g. a 22 oz. Stone Imperial Russian Stout for $5.99. I thought that Stone 22 oz. was really good. It has an ok pick a six type selection rack going on. Seems that the place isn’t dynamic enough in getting the newest beers. I didn’t see any Weyerbacher, or that much Rogue stuff. Or a lot of Victory, but they have plenty of Left Hand stuff. A decent place, some good prices if yuo want cheap beer. Hopefully, they will keep expanding on their beer selection.

Well, it’s pretty much a Total Wine location. When I first entered, I went straight to the end of the store with all the beer signs. There is a walk in cooler filled with swill, then a few coolers filled with accessible microbrews and imports. I was about to get really pissed when I noticed three aisles down, separated by shelves of wine, was the real beer section. There is a lot of beer here and weird beers at that. I picked up some interesting stuff that I had never before seen. Despite this, other brews that I regularly see at Green’s, for instance, were not present. It is a strange selection, but quite extensive and of course, most everything is available in singles. I’d recommend this as a stop. It seems that GA usually has the lowest beer prices in the south. Total Wine falls right in line with other stores in the area.

Beer is to the far right of the store. Good selection of singles available. Nice sized cooler, although not as large as a Green’s location. Overall a pretty decent selection of both imports and micros. The beer singles area seems to be getting larger each time I go in. Also they no longer sell liquor due to transfering that department to the new Alpharetta store, not that it matters.
