My fiancee and I go to this place all the time because they have the best wings around. the sauce is just amazing, the potachos are really good too. the beer selection is hit or miss, and it seems that the staff these days don’t know too much. the owner is nice and comes around to see how everyone is doing. the beer is decent, they usually have stone, dogfish, sweetwater, red brick, maybe like 20 taps micro and 5 macro. go for the wings and grab a beer, they also do have a large selection of bottled beers, I believe they still have a dogfish golden era laying around (3 years old maybe) and bombers from stone 13 (the one that says on the bottle to drink fresh) so i guess people dont buy those...

Housed in the previous discontinued Taco Mac location facing Town Center Mall. When Taco Mac rightfully vacated the spot they were outgrowing, their former manager decided to remain and open up a place of his own, Highlands Grill. He had a good interest in craft beer, even bringing in a Randall and keeping a generally decent, rotating selection of brews. Now under new ownership, the interest in craft beer has cooled quickly, with macros replacing micros in both the draught and bottle selection. I’d suspect tap line maintenance has also been discontinued. Ask a staff member about cleaning the tap lines and they’ll likely look at you like you’re speaking Chinese. The food has remained perpetually greasy, fried, and wholly unappealing, even after a few beers, though it’s fairly commonplace at any neighborhood sports bar. The interior seems dilapidated and has taken on a rather grody appearance due to lack of upkeep. A scrap against the walls might require a tetanus shot. Now, it’s just a dirty dive bar with a sports leaning, a place for cheap pictures of mass-produced beer and Irish Car Bombs. But take heart and don’t despair, for there’s a lovely new Taco Mac just a couple miles down the road!

This is a "sports bar". But if you sit down and have the good sense to ask Tyler, Jesse, or Bodie what beer to drink the WHOLE thing changes. Life as you know it will become different. These guys KNOW their beer. The bars owner does a once a month beer randalling. They choose an excellent beer and then filter it to enchance its flavor. Normally its some type of flavor additive (oranges, coffe beans, apples and cinammon, and then freshops). This place is great for anyone looking for a place to sample beer and watch sports at the same time. The food is standard bar fodder but for a sports bar casual atmosphere with about 300 beers and a knowledgable and friendly staff you cant go wrong right off Barret Pkwy.
