No Longer In Business

Well, I had entered this back in November and it was deleted. Hmmm. Well, I had stopped in on my way back from Naples, FL . When I ordered the IPA, the bartender stated that I may want to try it first. He gave me a sample and it was horrible. He said they had a yeast problem with the batch, but I think the recipe also had a lot to do with it. The stout was the only above average beer of the lineup. But I must say, the bartender and locals were very friendly. The food was not bad either. Go there for the food, not the beer.

When I went there (August 2006) the only beer they had was the Light. Their boiler was broken, according to our waitress. That (rather large) disapointment aside, the place seemed OK - The waitress was friendly, the Food was tasty if not particularly adventerous, and it seemed like a fairly popular place. Would stop again (if the beer was on) but wouldn’t make a special trip.

I was not overly impressed with this place. The food was decent, but thats about it. The beer was barely above A- B. The service was good though.

Nice roomy place on a Friday night there was plenty of room in the bar area. Maybe because of the service. After waiting the 15 minute time limit I went to the bar and the lovely young barmaid rendered service with a smile. This is an eatery but the bar area had he feel of a nice bar. Not really loud they had decent music playing that you could easily talk above in a normal tone. Food was damn good I had a grilled chicken salad the wife had the smoothered chicken both were excellent. The food service was good as well. The beer selection wasn’t what it could have been they were out of the IPA and the Stout. Brewed 13 barrels and they had been gone for a month? I would go back if I was passing through. Niffty place.

If you are traveling on I-16 through Macon, Georgia, this place is worth a visit. Has five beers on tap - nothing extraordinary, pretty standard brewpub beer. Also serve regular Macro lagers for those so inclined. Staff is friendly and service is prompt. Had wings with my sampler and they were pretty tasty.
