| NachlamSie (209), Tennessee | | August 20, 2008 This is the smaller of the two locations. I was rather skeptical of what I would find here. The variety of beer is certainly slimmer, notably missing many of the imports. However, I found some Ten Fidy still on the shelf and a 750 of Noel De Calabaza. With the exception of a rarity like that, I’d recommend the other location for beer. | | dchmela (52), Orlando, Florida | | May 28, 2008 Much smaller than the other location over on Albercon, but bursting at the seems with beer and liquor. Knowledgeable staff and the odd thing or two the other store is out of stock on, but better to try the bigger store first. | | PorterPounder (180), Tallahassee, Florida | | October 26, 2006 Visited here in late December ’05. Pales in comparsion to their big store over on Albercorn. Proabably only has about half of the selection. Quite cramped. Friendly service though. Good selection for the area with plenty of Belgians, Germans and Brits and a few Eastern Bloc lagers - but if you are looking for a wider selection, try their other location. | | muzzlehatch (255), Burlington, Vermont | | April 26, 2006 Well-laid-out, easy to navigate store with a terrific selection for the area (at least what I’ve seen of it) and super-knowledgeable staff (Brandon, anyway). Prices seemed good to this New Englander and I’m told the selection will keep improving as Georgia’s micro scene continues to evolve rapidly; currently this is primarily worth a visit for the local stuff. I didn’t visit the store on Abercorn but I would think having a super-knowledgeable Ratebeerian at this one makes a difference... |
