72 This place seems to be frozen in time 40 years ago. But their menu has even vegan options (!!). Very chill. People reading newspaper and stuff... Reasonable selection of Franconian classics at reasonable prices. Finally managed to visit this legendary place. |
68 Sat out in the Biergarten on a Monday night. Every table but the one we took was full, although in the time of Covid-19 that doesn’t take more than about 10 parties. A few local beers were on tap, but nothing you wouldn’t find in a dozen other places. The bottle selection was more interesting, including a few from smaller, regional breweries. On tap of that were a few Belgian classics: Rochefort, Chimay and so on.
Picked up a couple ticks. A decent stop but by no means a must. Service was friendly and reasonably attentive. |

66 Maybe past its best times? Last stop of the night. I was the only customer, soem young guys who knew the bargirl where having loud discussion with here. I dont have a problem with this but maybe others. Only had a beer from the bottle, Mönchsambacher Weizen, which was great. Good selection. |
54 This is by far one of the most over rated beer locations in Germany. Yes the beer selection is there but the staff and building leave a lot to be desired. Staff was rude and not understanding of the beers. Some beers were room temperature and the tap pipes were in a bad need of cleaning/maintenance which was a bit disappointing, it tasted quite oxidized. |
84 Visited the 17th May 2019 - nice and friendly pub. Huge local beer selection and for a really reasonable price. Staff is friendly and competent. You can just trust them for your beer experience there. Higly recommended for Franconia beer experience. Food is available but I didn't try. |
