Cosy and sobre place in a rustic house with a nice backyard. fast and friedly service, good food, limited beer selection, but the 3 homebrews they had on tap were quite good. Well worth the S-bahn trip and the somewhat boring walk from the station.

Nice walk up from the ’Alt-Tegel’ U-bahm, at least in the nice sunny and warm weather we had, though all the cyclists going both ways on the curb made it less enjoyable. The place was empty inside, most people was enjoying the weather in the green beer garden. Quite a few insects that tried climbing on us though. Inside restaurant looked nice though. Distinct wood character on all the beers. Nice fast service, food also came quick. Big portions and good food, though a bit pricey compared to some other brew pubs in Berlin. In Steve Thomas’ book ’GBG Bermany’ this is pub 17, in Tegel, listed on page 448. Very nice place well worth visiting fora quite ride oustide of the city center.
