April 7, 2009 Effective renovation of an old building. The brewery takes centre stage. Nice friendly atmosphere, although quiet when I visited mid afternoon. Above average beer quality but only one regular and one monthly special. |

February 21, 2009 The huge brewhouse i situated right at the entrance and fills most of the room, though with a bar off to one side and seating area around. The coppers are beutiful, and the fermenters and serving tanks are visible off to the sides, Sitting downstairs seems a packed in underneathe the seating area upstairs. The service was nice and quite knowledgeable. One regular beer and one seasonal, that changes approximately once a month. |

August 26, 2008 Well, well went to Brauhaus Spandau on a Friday evening and the place was packed with people. The place definitely got atmosphere with two big cobber boilers right in the middle of the two storage open serving room.
So much more is it a disappointment that only two beers are available, and none of them are much above average.
It seems like that this a place to come to have a splashing night with lots of beers rather than a exceptional beer experience. |

June 9, 2008 A genuine german brewpub in a fantasic environment in the pittoresque samll town Spandau outside Berlin. Located in an old rustic factory building, the brewing equipment visable of course, even the (open) fermentation vessle, where a lager was fermenting at 10.5 degrees Celsius. Very nice biergarten where we had lunch. Firendly service and good food at reasonable prices. Limited selection with only two homerews on taps, and a few bottled beers. Still, highly recommended, and well worth the half hour trip from Berlin. |

June 8, 2008 In ’GBG Germany’ listed as pub number 16 in Spandau, on page 448. It is a bit of a ride to get there, but what a place! Nice idyllic ambience, close to the river and lots of green vegetation. Fantastic beer garden away from traffic. Impressive building, nice interior as well. Cool to see not only the brewing equipment, but also the fermentation room through a glass window. Nice and cute waitress, fast service. Medium-sized lunsh portions of food. Had the bratwurst with mashed potatoes and sauerkraut, not excellent, but still nice. The scenery and location is enough for me to recommend a visit, I’m sure you’ll agree! The Havelbräu Hell and Weissbier available on draught at the time of our visit on June 6, 2008. |

May 9, 2008 Only 2 beers on tap when I went- the Maibock and the Havelbrau. Service was very slow but it was pretty busy. Food was solid. Had a schnitzel. Decent place to eat and drink if you’re not looking for ratings and are in the Spandau area. |

November 28, 2005 The main hall is ugly, but the back room (smokefree!) close to the kitchen is really cosy. Unfortunately only 2 beers are available (one Helles and one seasonal, they change 8-10 times a year). The food is traditional and appealing (if you like pork of course ;-) |

February 19, 2005 Quite nice place in a old industrie building. The beer selection was not very big and the beers there all had a strange banana note. |

October 27, 2004 Located in the suburb Spandau it takes quite a while to get there by train from Berlin centrum. Typical German brewpub with decent and rather cheap German food and some all right beers. They also sell their beers to go plus home-made schnapps. |
