June 12, 2008 Quite boring brewpub in the central parts of Berlin. Service was ok, but not more. The waitress looked very bored and uninterested. Limited beer selection. If it wasn’t for the location, I wouldn’t recommend a stop here. But since it is within walking distance of Hackesher Markt, pass by and try their homebrews, and then move on. |

June 11, 2008 In ’GBG Germany’ listed as pub number 10 under Mitte, page 446. Visited on June 5, 2008. A* bit cluttered feeling to the design inside, the Veltins sign outside was way more visible than the brew pub sign. Felt a but boring and quite non-essential. OK beers, OK service, not more. Did not eat. |

October 31, 2007 A very small brauhaus with a 100 liter brewery, almost homebrew like behind the counter, kind of cool. A must for any homebrewer, and the beers were quit good. |

May 28, 2007 Pretty ordinary place where they were actually promoting another pils over their own beers. The location makes it almost inevitable to stop by, so you may as wel do it, but they only had 2 beers and not very characterful at that. |

November 28, 2005 As many others, they brew two beers only, and they are very simple. The food is ok. |

June 28, 2005 To me this place wasn’t as bad as the others would have you believe. The dunkel was OK, but the surrounds were a bit spartan. People walking down the street looked at me like I was crazy to be drinking there. |

February 19, 2005 Unattraktive, or like we say in Austria "Unegmütlich", bad music included. The beer there was quite tasteless, but it’s near to Alexanderplatz and the Funkturm. |

October 16, 2004 Unattractive is the right word for this place. Looks like a cafeteria and the service is shitty. Had two different beers when I was there, one of them was tolerable, the other one a drain pour. |

March 12, 2004 Unattractive place with a not so friendly woman (kind of looked like she was a hooker in a previous life) serving us mediocre beers. Don't go there unless you really want to add those 2 or 3 beers to your list. |

March 10, 2004 What a cheesy and uncharming place. The interior is a mixture between modern village pubs in Germany and Elsass Doiley decoration - so to say it is ugly. For amercians: The place is terrible smoked and also for a European barley to stand. The waiter whom I asked about the Bock was barley to understand and seemed to be drunk - 8 p.m. The Dunkel was average and decent, the Pils also - but both beers were served way to cold. The only plus - it is near the Hacksche Höfe and therefor ok for a quick visit. |
