Of the three beers available, the Hefeweizen was by far our favorite. It had that banana-y taste to it, but it was really pleasant to drink. Food was excellent, too. MrReaves and I are going to go back for their Oktoberfest celebration starting 2 Oct 09 to see if they are offering anything special.

Stopped by during the summer on a Monday off, thought it would be slow. I was wrong very packed! Due to all the people the staff had their hands full and took thier time. The food was very authentic and good. I think this is worth a stop if your following the Mosel River.

It’s annexed to an abbey it looks quite recent, even if it has the classic bräuhaus decorations (hanging branches of hop, a lot of cooper and wood etc). Their 3 beers are not bad, even if the taste of the region seems to be for low hopped ones. When I visited it was late Sunday and it was empty, otherwise I would imagine that it will fill up with a lot of people and become very chaotic, and the average patron must be 50 years old with his lady...
