Atypical Köln brewpub, they even make an alt! In fact, it is around 4km out of the city centre. Just follow Venloerstr. until you see it on your left. A fair walk especially as the opening hours won’t allow this spot to be your first stop in a Köln tour, but their different selection makes it worth the effort. Their beers could certainly use a little tweaking as of my visit, but the multiple experiments they put out, and their website pretends to list the seasonal menu from month to month, would make it interesting to visit again. Rather generic atmsophere though, paler, uglier wood than most and low ceiling, rather duller and cheaper than most.
