SkyCop32 (1), Morlautern, Germany does not count - explanation | | June 17, 2008 This is one of the best beer stores I have been in. They have beers from all around the world and you can have most of them as singles. The prices are reasonable, between 1 and 4 Euro for most. This is a great store to taste a lot of unique beers or buy cases at a time. I can’t comment on their rotation of beers as I have only been there one time so far. They have a small assortment of glasses and trinquets. The wine and spirit selection is also plentiful, but I did not buy or price any of these. The service was ok, but speaking German would be helpful on my part. The restroom was very clean, but you have to get a key from the cashier and it was free. (Not the norm in Europe) I will keep checking their selection and post more. | | pivnizub (223), Porúří, Germany | | December 31, 2007 This shop call itself The world’s greatest beer shop - maybe it is true, maybe not... But it is Germany’s biggest beer store, in fact.... Impressive selection of german beers (from local brewers and especially from Bavaria), many seasonals, small selection of good brews from Belgium, the U.K. and the U.S.A. A must for every beer-hunter, a better Getränkemarkt You’ll never find in Germany ! | | Lubiere (101), Ottawa, Ontario | | October 22, 2007 Well, if you are in Darmstadt, this is a very worthwhile detour. A very good selection selection of German beers, of course, classifed by style and state (landt)...They claim 1250 brands from 60 countries, althought the international section isnt all that impresive. Prices are excellent (on average less than a euro a bottle, around 2.50 euro for imports). They also have a good wine and spirit selection. To get there from the Darmstadt HBhf, take the Heidelberg line and stop 2 stations south, at Darmstadt-Eberstadt, which runs every hour. Then, turn left once you exit to Pfungstädterstrasse, pass under the train overpass, and walk about 2 minutes. |
