I visited the brewpub in the summer and there was a great ambiente. The whole street was fullfilled with customers and the whole restaurant impressed me very much. Very kind people - the Düsseldorfer are very open to foreigners. The beer was great and I felt no headache the next day.

Great Ambiente and best beer in town!

Clean and well lit brewpub in the heart of the Altstadt, but less authentic than Uerige or Füchschen - a bit more bourgeois..... Their Alt is worth a detour, but quite mediocre compared to Uerige or Schumacher !

On Saturday night the place was too crowded to even stand. We came back in on Sunday for lunch... very glad we did. The beer didn’t disappoint, and the frau was johnny-on-the-spot with the beers. The food really surpassed my expectations... Had a hearty, fried bratwurst curled up like a snail, resting atop a pile of potatoes from the same skillet, plus some tangy red cabbage with apples. The total bill at the end was shockingly reasonable.

Well, what can I say? By far, my favorite place in all Krefeld and Dusseldorf, beer that is top notch and can be enjoyed all night long, redefining what a great session can be like. The service is friendly, altough the atmosphere was pretty loud and wild in the evening hours over dinner. After stopping here, nothing compares, and the food is most stellar, any pork dish highly recommended by me. Wish they had anything halfway like this in the states.

Not such an easy feeling about the place, and we had to go to the bar to get served which was unusla as it wasnt that busy. Long building with wooden decor inside. Not the most impressive alt either.

A most excellent Düsseldorf pub with the maltiest altbier around. Large and paler than most rooms, rather modern building and pretty expeditive staff, even by german cities standards don’t really make it a place I’d stay in for a few hours, but the alt is a big must and the patio is nice, so is the building from the outside.

Clean, spacy and well lit compared to some other brewpubs I’ve visited in Dusseldorf altstadt. It lacks a little bit character due to what I earlier mentioned, but very enjoyable indeed. Didn’t have to wait for the beer for too long. Patio was well warmed in the coldness of december.

Located in the middle of the Altstadt, and directly across the street from Schumacher. There’s no reason not to visit this pub. Very nice interior, lots of character, with more open space on the floor than most pubs. The beer quality was pretty good, above average for altbier in Dusseldorf but not the best (that goes to Uerige and/or Füchschen). Footnote: I don’t know how to give a high "selection" score to a brewery with one beer. So they all get a 5/15.

Went here in the late afternoon and it was the quietest of the bunch that I visited and not smokey in the least. They only had one beer but it was very good and possibly the best I had of the few Altbiers that I tried. I had some food here too - just a regular schnitzel but it was pretty good though not that cheap. I’d certainly recommend this place.
