If You are looking for a typical kitschy german or bavarian brewery tap, the Trumpet is the wrong place. Even though it is the official brewery-tap of the local Hofmühl brewery, even though it is dim and half-panelled with dark wood, it is far more a student’s bar than a Hofbräuhaus. Not only the whole range of the Hofmühl-Brauerei is offered there, but also an excellent selection of liquors (10 single malts, 5 superb fruit-schnapps) makes this place worth a detour, especially when You are travelling the picturesque Altmühltal !
