This is a cozy brewery-guesthouse nestled in a scenic spot along the gorgeous Altmuhltal. Cliffs and a castle tower overhead. The beers are good and you’re likely to meet Josef Schneider himself if you’re interested. We reckon that many have proclaimed him a hero upon seeing his little brewery, meeting the man himself, and seeing the spot he’s carved out in this beautiful place. The guesthouse rooms are spacious, and the dinner was fantastic. Can’t tell you exactly what I had, but there were morsels of pork swimming in a mushroom cream sauce. The pils was crisp, bitter and refreshing.
