RateBeer Brew Tour Guide's Comments
Nice, cozy place well away from the tourist traps around Marienplatz. Restaurant and biergarten on the ground floor, bar in the basement. Warning: closed Sunday evening from 4pm. Transit: U-bahn stop Max-Weber Platz, south-east exit is exactly in front of the brewpub.

acrdz | A nice spot on the east side of town, walking here gives you some time to cool off and enjoy the parks near the river. Beerwise they had the dunkel and the helles, both good, and foodwise we enjoyed schnitzel as well as spring and cheese on white asparagus on toast. Staff was courteous, most likely because they don’t see as many tourists as all of the major spots in central Munich. Beirgarten in back is well shaded with lots of trees and bushes and a rock gravel floor. Very nice.

BitchesBrew | A nice, open bavarian brewpub. Upstairs was quiet during the afternoon, with dried hops all along the ceiling. Service was a bit gruff, but thats to be expected, I guess. The beer: very nice, overall. Nothing too outstanding or original, but very enjoyable. Be sure to head downstairs to the brewery to check out the interesting brewing system.
Overall, an awesome place to drink and hang out and also avoid the Marienplatz mayhem.

gnoff | Mentioned in "Good Beer Guide Germany". I walked out to the pub from Weisses Brauhaus, it was a bit and I could work up a thirst along the way. Nice beers and a nice bier garden.

| Diplomat | Einfach toll! Easygoing place with not so many tourists and no huph-phah-phah. As a snack (barley?) seeds are served! If You need a qiuet beer palce to eat this is it during weekdays. Weekends it might be hard to find a seat. The surrounding area - Haidhausen- is one of the most wanted and exclusive living area in Münich. The beers? Nicely malted!
