44 Standard "Irish" pub, has Guinness and Murphys, that’s it for the irish. Bar-prices. Good service though, but nothing special reason to visit. |
58 For a few months, Slattery’s used to be my favourite Irish Pub in Hamburg. I should add that the bar is not set very high. They were the only ones to have Fuller’s London Pride and once even Fuller’s ESB on tap - among other mostly German beers that are less difficult to find here. But apparently they have now given up on Fuller’s, which makes the place much less interesting now.
Still, the staff is very friendly and attentive. The food is good and affordable and also includes traditional dishes from Hamburg or Northern Germany. I first went there for a Fuller’s beer tasting - complete with cask ale and guests from the brewery and the importers who could provide information, but it seems that this was a one-off event. Nice location directly on the Elbe river. |
