Stayed a week on the big island during honeymoon and went here 5 times. It is suposed to have the best pizza on the island but did not think it was that great being from Chicago. However, the sandwiches and appetizers were good. The hummas platter was awesome as it comes loaded with pita bread, olices, feta cheese and other veggies. Great patio and bar but place is always packed. Thought their beer was good. Really like the blacksand porter, Fire Rock Pale Ale and Cast Away IPA. Cool place and by far the best I found on islands.

Good food, good portions, good service and a nice selection of beers. I enjoyed it. The only ’gotcha’ was that you do Not enter on Kuakini Hwy, but the street behind (and parallel to it) Pawai

Good food and a good selection of their beers in the brewpub. Pipeline porter was my favorite. The humus app was great and their pizzas are very good as well. The cocnut ice cream was the best part, with porter. Great stop while on vacation.

Atmosphere is a 10, for no other reason that it’s in Hawaii. The beers were actually really good, which surprised me with it being on the Big Island and I figured it’d be harder for them to get good ingredients. The food was pretty decent, and the service was a little slow, but we weren’t really in any hurry. I hope to go back there, because again, it’s a brewpub in Hawaii.

We started by taking the brewery tour, which was free, but brief; it’s clearly a new and modern brewery. After the tour, our group (of about 15-20 people) was offered four pitchers of beer for free! The service was nice and adequate, but they did take awhile getting our orders and bringing the beer. Their selection of beers is good, and there is plenty to choose from. I did not try any of their food, but from what I saw it looked fine. Overall, it’s a nice place with a good atmosphere, and good beers.

Worth taking the time to find this place (it’s not really that hard). Excellent patio/courtyard and very good beers on tap, many of which are not available elsewhere. The pizza was excellent too. Without a doubt my favorite affordable food and drinking experience on the Islands and a great place to sample 10+ beers. Good service and attentive staff, also the mini-tour was worth it as they offered a platter of free samples at the end. A must stop, probably the best brew-pub I’ve ever been to.

A little hard to find location, with the driveway coming up into the back of some stores and businesses. Can’t miss the huge banner and massive stack of kegs as you pull up. Cool atmosphere regardless, definitely Hawaiian, with a nice gardened patio and a fairly small interior with open doors onto the patio. Small rectangle bar in the middle, kitchen visible to the left where you can see the chefs tossing the pizza dough. 10 or more beers on tap, all good Kona beers. Awesome food, good beer, all at very reasonable prices for Hawaii. Great place.

A strange location for a Brewpub, but that had absolutely no impact on the atmosphere, food, or brews. We spent one of our dinners here, during our honeymoon in Hawaii, and we really enjoyed the great oudoor patio, lit by tiki torches of course, the excellent pizza, and tasty beers. The Kona coffee stout proved an outstanding dessert.

Somehow, I ended up taking about 19 rights to get to this place. Because of its location in an industrial area, I imagine the brewery came first, then the brewpub was added later. At any rate, it was surprisingly nice (if it was indeed an addition). The outdoor patio was very tropical and cozy. Indoors, it was quaint and comfortable. Service was great, from the host to the bartender to the server. Ended up sitting next to a window with at least three geckos chilling out. We witnessed one of them catch a fly in mid air, which was totally awesome. Bit it right in half. While watching the Kona mascot eat dinner, we went straight for dessert ... a slice of the macadamia nut pie, which was pretty good. Bourbon barrel stout was nice as well.

September 2003. I had loved their beers when available to me in Las Vegas, so made the stop at the brewpub a neccesity! Awesome pizzas and beers in Kona … iffy locale in a strip mall, but otherwise this is tops!
