| chimay67 (28), hunt sta, New York | | October 22, 2009 Warm welcoming Belgian Beer Bar steps from the 19/41 Tram Stop at Bem Rakpart 12 (either one stop up from the Chain Bridge or one stop down from Batthany Ter). Good staff, they know their stuff and they serve the beers in the proper style glass.
A bonus here is that the food is very decent. They just need to get their Frites Saus right ;-)). Great place to get your Belgo fix on while in Budapest. All the trappists (except Westy) are represented.
| | Doggythedog (27), Split, Croatia | | June 18, 2009 Probably the best of the Belgian beer bars in Budapest (though I have yet to visit Pater Marcus). It was a bit crowded on a Friday afternoon, tons of Belgian paraphernalia, cute. Friendly staff, fast service. Good beer selection, though the menu and what’s available don’t match too well, both in the positive and the negative context. | | ogivlado (145), Zagreb, Croatia | | March 17, 2009 Nice place few minutes by foot from Széchenyi Lánchíd on the right bank of Danube river. Typical Belgian pub decoration with lots of beer banners and bottles on the walls. Not much of people inside (Saturday around 1 p.m.). Much more naturally illuminated place than Pater Marcus. My girlfriend ordered cottage cheese cake and the cake was delicious. | | armando629 (36), Budapest, Hungary | | December 7, 2008 Nice ambience, like a pub or cafe in Belgium. The stuff is very friendly, the beers are taken with their own glasses, on the right temperature. Fine and delicious french-belgian style foods. One of the best places about beers in Hungary. |
