Small little corner pub downtown on Main and Shoshone. Funny coincedence, my roommate used to own a Gyro shop right next to this place back in the 80s. The Trail Creek brewpub was closed for renovations or something, which was lame, so we came here. Inside is plastered with all sorts of road signs, beer slogans and other drunken and/or political banter. About 20 taps or so, about 60% of which is craft regional stuff. Ruby Mountain, no Trail Creek though, even though it’s like 3 blocks away. The staff had a lot of character and it seemed like they were straight out of a midwest diner; friendly though. I had a liverwurst sandwich that was exactly as it sounds. A bit odd to have in a place like this, but good. It was my first liverwurst experience, I’ll let it grow on me from here. The water glasses each had about a tsp of what looked like sand, cigarette ashes or salt and pepper. I didn’t want to find out. This basically made you want to order a beer and not drink the water. Good prices. Decent place if you lived in Twin. Not worth stopping if you’re driving by though. Hit up Trail Creek and call it good.
