| FunkyBrewster (10), Chicago, Illinois | | October 13, 2008 I don’t live very far from here and it has been a nice place each time I have gone in. The main problem is that it is too big for its own good. It’s doesn’t feel cozy because I have sat in the back with friends each time and we are in this huge open room. The front area seems much for comfortable and intimate. They always have good Goose Island beers on tap and last time I was here I got the Naughty Goose and the Harvest Ale. (I was tempted to get the Bourbon County Stout on tap but didn’t wanna drop $10 for it at the time) The food is good, maybe not the best but still solid. Mostly go for the beer. The Clybourn location is better but this one is still nice | wrburgess (1), CHICAGO, Illinois does not count - explanation | | September 26, 2008 Lots of space, can usually get a seat, pub chips are goood, menu is so-so | | Rastacouere (413), Montréal, Quebec | | September 25, 2008 Certainly the inferior of thw two Goose island with a couple of beers less and all the others being offered at Clybourne. Also, it was particularly packed with Cubs fans and that’s not a crowd I especially enjoy. We could not get a seat on a wednesday. I’d come back only if Clybourne closes down - and then I would definitely come back from the awesome beer. | | kseecs16 (93), Westmont, Illinois | | August 21, 2008 Great place to get some Goose Island beer if you are in the area. Not the tap list of Clybourn and tends to be more crowded and have worse service but still a good place to go and the food is decent. | | BeerBunker (10), Burbank, Illinois | | August 2, 2008 We made the mistake of going after a Cubs game had just ended. It was packed, but we had no problem getting a table. I had only been to the Clybourn location before this, so I was surprised by the very short, unimpressive beer list they had. I still think the food is way overpriced, so I usually just stick to side-orders. Insanely loud, but still a nice atmosphere. Why the hell would you put a bathroom on the second floor? Service was good. | | WabashMan (23), Noblesville, Indiana | | July 27, 2008 Good food. GI beers. What more do you need? If you go, keep the Cub’s schedule in mind. It’s packed as early as two hours before game time and God knows how long afterward. | docswife (5), Morganfield, Kentucky does not count - explanation | | May 15, 2008 Very nice place. We stopped in for lunch and didn’t have a wait. Wait staff were all friendly and helpful. Beer selection was great! Food was very good. We did have a problem with being charged the wrong amount, tickets were confused. Overall a very nice place to eat and drink great beers! | | lb4lb (23), Austin, Texas | | May 2, 2008 Stopped in for a couple beers and some onion rings while in town. Nice clean, open sportsbar feel with some nice GI beers on town. I liked the ambiance of this GI location much better, but the beer selection seemed definitely smaller. Still, worth a stop, and they did have some different beers on too. They onion rings I mooched of Crizay and Beth were pretty tasty as well. I also got a cooler t-shirt than Crizay at the Cubs gift shop around the corner, and all the girls said I was better looking too. | | Acknud (13), Morganfield, Kentucky | | April 30, 2008 A great selection and really all I could handle at one sitting. Food and service was great. Atmosphere was very comfortable. | | crizay (103), Brook Park (was Tampa,FL), Ohio | | April 29, 2008 Now I likd this place better than Clybourn because it’s more casual and sports bar like. Big bar and lots of open seating with an upstairs also. Not as many beers or food but really with how laid back it was I wouldn’t care. If you go to Wrigley you can see this place from there. | View Page : 1 2 3 4 5
