Pretty solid bar for the location. Great beer selection and the food was surprisingly good. I had a burger, several other folks had wings. All were happy. Iíd go back to this place for sure. Looks like they had a stage for some live music as well.

Pretty solid spot downtown with a decent burger and quality tap selection. They generally carry locals, three floyds one offs, half acre, etc. Pretty standard as far as Chicago beer joints go, but a nice oasis in the south loop.

Iím living in Chicago part time for work, and while Iím more than willing to get on the el to get to great beer bars, I needed to find a decent beer bar within walking distance. Villains fits the bill. Itís not really a craft beer bar, itís just a great neighborhood place that happens to have some good craft beers. Victory, North Coast, DFH, Founders, others. The vibe is neighborhood tavern with a slightly hipster undercurrent, but three big screen TVs over the bar offer various sporting events. The food is solid bar food. The bartender knew what she was talking about beer-wise. Though it canít compare to the Map Room, the Hop Leaf, and several others, this will probably be my regular place during the week.
