This is our favorite place! All of the staff have completed cicerone certification and are quite knowledgeable. Dale (owner) and Chef Dave are great guys! Don’t let the fact that this is an Irish pub fool you...Dave is a true chef. He gets to pull out all the stops at the monthly beer dinners. And the beer selection? INCREDIBLE!

Stopped in the day before Stone Tasting to get soem Pepe Nero and met the owners who were very knowledgeable but also very friendly. Went for Stone Release and the place was packed. They ran out of flight glassware and had to wait 45min for my flight but my waitress went out of her way to apologize and felt awful on the time it was taking. Great selection and everyone has been really friendly.Food we had was awesome. Nice place for us in the Western burbs. A definite stop if you are in Plainfield.

I went there for the Chicago Stone Beer Week. Although I only tried the Stone beers, I was there early enough to see an impressive tap selection and bottle selection. Although the place seemed small, due to a swelling crowd, I liked the wood features of the bar. The most impressive thing that first caught my eye was the friendly atmosphere the staff showed. The bartender was a great guy who, even though it was extremely busy, made sure to check up on me for another round. The staff was surely hustling. I liked this bar, and I will go back to see it again.

Downtown Plainfield still refuses to behave like a mere suburb, instead lets the locals create their own non-franchised establishment. This faux Irish bar occupies a 1910’s commercial corner storefront, corner entry, tin roof and all. Irish menu with American spin. I only tried the onion soup as it was a "recommended" appetizer, and was quite tasty. I counted 19 taps, although the printed beer list had 27 beers on tap, plenty more bottles. A pretty small place, but a lot of ambiance fitted in, even with football on a few big screen TVs. More than a few women watching football here, BTW. I highly recommend this place. This and Limestone Brewpub are pretty much your only craft beer outlets in the entire Joliet area.

Small restaurant/bar in downtown Plainfield. Very cozy feel inside. There is a second floor for more seating and nighttime entertainment. Service was excellent, fast, and courteous. Huge beer selection. Two dozen beers on tap, including several I’ve never heard of. More than twice as many available bottled. Large food menu, including a very nice childrens menu. I enjoyed an excellent cheeseburger boxty. Food prices are very reasonable, and the beer prices are par for what they are (a pint of Gumballhead was $4.50 while a botle of Dogfish Head Midas Touch was $6). It’s nice to have a place like this close to home.

Small cozy place in downtown plainfield with a nice tap and bottle selection. Prices are average. They seem to make it a point to offer specialty drafts from the local brewers. Proper glassware and good freindly service. I did not try the food.
