64 Nicely decorated establishment located in downtown Indianapolis, with plenty of jailhouse and California paraphernalia. The service is a little lacking as the servers seemed more interested in each other than the customers. The selection of house beers is good, and the food is typical of a brew pub. The prices are a little high for the offerings. Definitely worth the stop as the beer is good, but do not expect to be blown away. |
68 Here for a brief hour before hopping across the street, and happy I made the detour. Cheap parking directly below (it’s in the large mall complex) and a surprisingly urban feel for a city more spread out than this Easterner is accustomed to. The two German styles I had were surprisingly excellent. Industrial decor, a little cramped, but would be a fun little night stop before moving on. Bartenders were pleasant twenty-somethings. If in the downtown area, something close to a must-visit, but certainly not worth crossing state lines to visit. |
72 Nice environment and service. I though the beers were decent but a on the light side. The food was great. |
66 Large restaurant and bar located in the heart of Indianapolis just down the street from the famous St. Elmos Steakhouse. Décor was true to the theme but with modern furnishings and a nice, long bar area. Food selection seemed good (we didn’t actually eat) and beer selection was decent. The beer samples we had were good but not outstanding. Growler prices seemed fair and included all beers currently on tap. Worth a stop when in the area. |
58 Visited this brewpub while at Conference. Service was friendly, could have been a little more acomodatong and compared to its competition across the street quite a bit more expensive. The food was a bigger play here but the beers were good. |
82 We visited on a Friday night for my birthday. The decor is industrial - concrete and metal. Kinda of neat for a commercial setting in the mall. I had the sampler - which was a small pour of each of their seven beers. They all were pretty good but only 2 were great. I had a 24oz of their Saxophone Sai. The service was good (I had a burger and some fries) - but the beers were just okay. Will try them again soon for my second opinion. |
56 Nice brewing company brew house, the food is a little pricey, but the beer is fresh and easily drinkable. |
68 Been here numerous times to rate the beers that were new since the last visit. Beers have been hit and miss in my experience, service has been friendly, some servers more knowledgeable than others, have only eaten here once and the food was average pub fare. From a rating standpoint, a must stop for me whenever I am in downtown Indy. |
58 Stopped in on a Friday night. The decor is industrial - concrete and metal. Kind of lame really. I had the sampler - which was a small pour of each of their seven beers. None of them really sang, the black lager rose to the top. The service was good - but the beers were just okay. They have a full service bar to back the beers. |
58 A fun place to go, and they do brew their own beers, which is always a worthwhile venture. As with so many brewpubs, their beers are a good deal better than your Bud Lights and whatnot, but inferior to quality craft beers. If you’re at Circle Center, I’d stop in, but don’t make a special trip for these beers! |
